Directions

Retinol may cause initial redness, tingling or dryness. Your skin will need time to get used to this powerful ingredient. It is recommended to introduce it gradually.
WEEK 1: Apply one pea-sized pump 2 nights per week to face, avoiding the eyelids. Use an additional pea-sized pump for the neck and decolletage. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 the morning after to protect skin.
WEEK 2: Apply every other night.
WEEK 3: Apply nightly as tolerated.
Avoid intentional exposure to sun and artificial UV, as skin may be more sensitive. It is normal to experience some initial redness, tingling or dryness while using Retinol. If this happens, stop using it for a few days, then use less frequently. If severe irritation develops and lasts, discontinue use and talk to your doctor. Do not use on broken/irritated skin or on eyelids or lips. Do not use in conjunction with other Retinol products.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am really impressed with this night cream! From opening the box to trying it. Absorbs into the skin without problem and lasts all night making my skin feel hydrated, refreshed and smelling nice. It doesn't feel too "cakey" and pack ontop of other products I use. I would definately recommend. A bit of the pricey side, however if it is within your budget then I would say its well worth it! It is a trusted brand in which I would use time and time over again, the results are really true what it says it'll do. I've finally found a night cream that works for my skin type and I couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hydrating, light and glowy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As mentioned by another reviewer, I have only had this cream for a fortnight, so I can’t comment on the longer term usage, but initially this moisturiser is great. I followed the instructions and started with using twice a week. The pump bottle is really handy and hygienic which I enjoyed, however I do find with these types of containers a lot of product gets left at the bottom when the pump fails to pick it up near the end - hopefully I am able to twist the top off when the time comes. On application the cream is cool, light yet also nourishing. It sunk quickly into my skin and didn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable. My skin still felt hydrated the next morning, which is rare! I did notice some slight dryness during the second week, but I suffer with rosacea so this could have been triggered but other factors. Overall, this cream is a good, hydrating night cream and I’m looking forward to the longer term, anti ageing results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2 powerful ingredients- in one! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used retinol and niacinamide based products in the past, but didn't enjoy this one as much. My skin did feel radiant and supple but the texture of this product was not something I particularly enjoyed. The composition seems perfect, with niacinamide and retinol- ingredients that most 'over 35s' should be using on the regular to combat ageing and skin damage. Overall, given the product applicator and texture, it wasn't something that I enjoyed, so I will not purchase again. This of course is a personal preference, as I gravitate towards serums. I can recommend this to someone who enjoys creamy textures, and is willing to purchase one product (rather than 2) to get the benefit of niacin and retinol, all in one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why not give it a try ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only just received my product today, 1st impression of the packaging - loved the fact it was only packaged in a box - no excess packaging - 5 stars for that !!! Loved the pump, so easy to use and saves me having to use a little spatula - 5 stars !!! The product was gently scented and the texture felt nice to use - 5 stars. Initially upon application - l thought, oh it leaves my skin feeling sticky but this subsided. To early to see any results yet , however l am NOT disappointed so far. l have based my rating on what is important to me, packaging, ease of accessing the product, the scent, the texture and the final sensation on how it feels on my skin. Results are also important however l am unable to comment at this early stage

Rated 4 out of 5 by from L’Oréal Night Cream with retinol and niacinamide [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] L’Oreal’s Pressed Cream Night Retinol + Niacinamide treatment was lovely to use. The fragrance was subtle and pleasant, not too strong to use at night but rather soothing. The cream absorbed easily into my skin, leaving it feeling plump and smooth. I feel that I would need to use the jar for at least a month to determine if it reduced any age spots or removed wrinkles. There were no side effects and my skin reacted well to its use. The next morning my skin still felt moist and smooth showing how well the night cream maintained its hydration levels. The look of the container and packaging was modern. I enjoyed being able to dispense one single dose in the innovative pressed-jar. It is hygienic and easy to use. I would like the jar to have one section of it transparent so that you can see how much cream remains. It would help to determine when it is ready to be replaced. I will continue to use this cream and hope that it lives up to the claim that it reduces wrinkles and corrects uneven skin tone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very hydrating and feels nice on the skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This moisturiser is really hydrating and nourishing. I expected it to be a thick consistency but it is quite light yet still feels hydrating enough for a night cream. I have dry dehydrated skin and am used to using retinol 2-3 times per week. I found I was able to use this nightly straight away without irritation. The next morning, my skin was clear and glowing and still felt hydrated. I did steer clear from putting it around the eye area in case of irritation and just used another hydrating product for that area. This has definitely become my new night cream.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unsure It’s too early to tell as yet if it’s working. No significant results in two weeks, although the cream is nice to use. Unsure whether I would purchase another one at this stage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice texture - but way to much fragrance Hi received a sample of this, and I am glad that I didn't waste my money on a full size. The texture is very nice, especially since I have combination and congested skin. I like that it is an 'all in one' type cream, I am so over having to layer serums to get the active ingriendents I want. The fragrance though is way too overpowering. It lingered on my face for a good 5 minutes after. Even when I walked into the bedroom my partner asked if I had sprayed perfume! I have no idea why Loreal insists on putting fragrance in their products, there is literally no use for it. I, and I am sure many others, would be inclined to purchase more of their products if they didn't have fragrance added.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was not too impressive in my opinion. It did cause some tingling after a few days of use so if sensitive take it slow.I did noticed a very small difference in the smoothness of my skin after the first week.I however did not feel this product was hydrating enough it felt a bit light for a night cream.I am used to a lot more hydration as I tend to be a bit dry as I am aging. I also was not too keen on the fragrance it was a bit too intense for me.Smelt a lot like a hand cream I have used in the past. The pump container was great for usage, non contamination of product and ease of use. Not too sure about recommending this product as I feel I should have seen more changes for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A decent night cream but it won't change your life [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for several weeks. It was a departure from my skin care regime and I will be returning to my usual products. I honestly don't think this cream is anything special - and hardly 'magic in a bottle' - that I saw another reviewer write. The jar is nifty and one pump delivers enough cream to cover my face. I also like that there is no waste and no cream exposed to the air, subsequently drying out. The scent was artificial and neither pleasant or unpleasant. The texture of the cream was thick and what you would expect from a night cream. It absorbed very well. I didn't follow the suggested staged approach to use ie. beginning slowly over a week before using nightly. And I didn't suffer any dry skin, irritation etc. In regards to any miraculous change to my skin - that didn't happen. My face felt moisturised but there wasn't any dramatic difference to my appearance. I question exactly how much Retinol is present in this product. In summary - PROS: it's a pleasant night cream, travels well in the jar with minimal wastage, CONS: it's reasonably exxy at almost $60 a jar it isn't going to change your life and probably won't make much difference to your appearance

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great packaging and fragrance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately due to postage delays and a lockdown I have only been able to use this product for a few days. The packaging is great, very easy to use and no mess. The cream has a lovely fresh fragrance, is easy to apply and absorbs quickly leaving my skin feeling hydrated. The next morning my skin feels soft and fresh, but stings when I apply my usual daily moisturiser and make-up. Overall, I haven't had enough time trialling the product to be able to recommend it as it is too early to notice any results, but I will keep going with it and hope it works!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice cream but not for me either [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using retinol for a number of years and I just ran out of my usual retinol cream when I received this so I was incredibly excited to try it out. I love a lot of the L’Oréal products so if this worked for me I would have switched to it in a heartbeat as my go-to is quite expensive and to have a retinol in a night cream it would cut out a lot of time and save money on a night cream also.Sadly I don't think it's really doing much as my usual retinol and night cream as I didn’t really see any changes in my skin and I didn’t really notice any improvement of the smoothing benefits. The good: the bottle and packaging is fantastic with the press to pump feature as it dispenses the perfect amount for you and thus you do not waste any product. I wish more companies used this type of packaging! One thing I did love is that it provides a perfect amount of moisture and isn’t to thick and oily and would be perfect to use all year around. It sinks beautifully into the skin without a greasy or sticky feel to it and another bonus is that it has no real scent which I love. The negative: My skin doesn’t feel as smooth or as radiant as it usually does so I feel it doesn’t work as well for me as my usual retinol and night cream and I really need a product that can deliver on anti-aging which is why I introduced retinol into my skincare routine. I wouldn’t purchase this cream and will go back to my other retinol and night cream , but I would 100% suggest it to someone who has never used a retinol and night cream as I feel this would be a perfect product to try for a first time user of retinol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent retinol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a sample from review crew. I've been using retinal for years but was keen to try this one as my skin has become a bit sensitive. I enjoyed this product. Anything in the squeeze top tub seems to work better as it is not open to the air. I wasn't a massive fan of the scent as I dont usually like scent in my skincare. It wasn't offensive just not for me. After using this product, I would have slight peeling the next day but mostly it was quite good. I even got a few compliments in my skin after the peeling settled. I think it is a good entry level retinol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not enough time to provide a full detailed review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only have had 2 weeks to write a review, and at this stage, I don’t think I’ve used the cream to give a detailed review. As I’ve not used retinol previously, first week I only used it twice as recommended. For the 2nd week, I’ve used the cream every second night. The packaging was great! The pump released the perfect amount for all over the face. At first my skin did tingle and felt a little sore. However upon waking up the following morning, my skin was plump and radiant (well moisturised). I didn’t experience dry skin with the retinol at any stage. So as of 2 weeks, I have not seen any reductions of fines lines, however my skin does appear more even and plump. I will continue using this product, however I don’t not expect to see miracles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good but a couple of weeks of intermittent use to avoid reacting to the product hasn’t been enough to get a true feel for the product but I do like the smell which is quite fresh and I love the push-down top to dispense the product in a very hygienic way. After use my skin does feel relatively smooth and bright but with such a short time to trial I can’t say for sure if that’s just in my mind or if it’s working. This is a relatively strong product as I’ve felt some heat in my skin while exercising the day after use and I’m usually fine with retinol so I definitely advise starting gradually if you’re going to give it a try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only gave this product a 3 star rating because I've only been using it for a short time. So far I really like it, it's quite moisturising and very light weight. It looks like a cream but it seems to feel more like a gel once it warms up on your fingers. I love the dispenser, it's so easy and hygienic. I have sensitive skin and haven't had any issues with this product, also it does have a fragrance, but it is very light and hasn't affected me at all, which is great! I shall continue to use this product and hopefully see great results after a longer period of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The pump up dispenser is brilliant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In line with Amanda V’s review.. I have barely had the product a week before writing this review. I have only used the cream twice, as per the instructions, and so far have not had a reaction or experienced any light sensitivity. The cream is not too heavy, nor greasy and I do intend to continue trialling the product. The pump up dispenser is brilliant and make it easy to access but it does make the container very heavy - it would be a no-brainer to leave it behind when travelling when every gram counts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One-stop night product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this product to trial, however I wasn’t given adequate time to provide an accurate review. This is because the product directions say to apply twice a week in week one, and every second night in week two. This is not sufficient time to fairly review the product before the review deadline. This aside, here are my thoughts. Pros: * feels nice to apply. * not in a jar (jar renders actives almost useless as exposes product to light and air). This is in a pressed-pump which is opaque and allows for a single application to be dispensed. * skin felt moisturised and hydrated. * skin tone and texture improved. * combines actives with a night moisturiser so this could save a step in your skincare routine. Cons: * fragrance is a little overpowering. * if paying full price ($60) you could get a more cosmeceutical-type product for a similar price point. * I prefer my actives in a serum and a separate nourishing night moisturiser. I will finish this product but don’t think I would purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great night cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only used this cream for past two weeks and feel that perhaps it is not long enough to be able to see any real changes or improvements in the overall appearance of my skin. Love the packaging and pump jar. No mess and don’t have to worry about putting too much on (as I tend to do with other creams). Cream smells beautiful and has a really nice texture. I followed the instructions and didn’t experience any irritation even though my skin can be quite sensitive. I’ve used my usual night moisturiser on the nights that I didn’t use the L’Oréal cream and my skin still felt beautiful and moist. I will continue using this product as I’ve been really enjoying it so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from L'oreal Paris Retinol + Niacinamide [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't feel like I have used this product for long enough to provide a good review but these are my thoughts so far. It is packaged like some of the more expensive face creams I use, which I really like. I'm not a fan of the smell, it reminds me of old lady's perfume. The texture is nice, not too thick, and feels lovely on the skin plus it has not caused me to break out so that's a plus. In the morning my skin does feel lovely and smooth but I'm not really sure if it has made any difference to the appearance of my fine lines. I have used it as directed, week 1 for 2 nights and week 2 every other night, and it has not caused any reaction, which I do worry about as I have quite sensitive skin. One thing I didn't like was that it doesn't include the amount of Retinol in the ingredient list. I do currently use Retinol in my skin care routine but due to my sensitivity it only contains 0.3% Retinol. Overall I don't think I will continue to use this cream as I feel it hasn't really added to my skincare routine

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beginner retinol night cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed trialling the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream. I particularly liked the packaging, the pump delivered the perfect dose of moisturiser to apply to my face and neck, and I found that the product was not drying. It is not a thick consistency, which was a pleasant surprise for a night cream, as they can often be quite heavy and occlusive. I wish I had a longer period of time to sample this product before providing my view on its effects, given that retinol and niacinamide can take several weeks to take effect on one's skin, but thus far, I am enjoying using this pressed night cream and will continue to use it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super Hydrator [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with dehydrated skin, I found this cream to be super hydrating, felt nice, good consistency and the smell was charming. I am still a little miffed by the pump action as I think its slightly messy and unnecessary. I feel like this product made a clear improvement to the hydration of my skin, with no adverse effects. Unsure as to the easing of pigmentation as I feel this requires longer use to decide. I do think it is a worthwhile investment and a great hydrating night cream. Retinol is a lifesaver and plumps the skin and fine lines.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review period too short [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this product for the purposes of review. I only had two weeks between receiving the product and this review being due so don't feel like the product really had a chance to produce results, especially as use needs to be increased gradually - use twice the first week and every second day the second week. So I have only applied this product 5 times at the time of writing. It is a nice product to use, and easing into it as suggested I had no negative reaction. It's possible my skin might be smoother and firmer but it is hard to tell - I look forward to using it over the coming weeks to see! The packaging was ok – it is a pump dispenser, and I like that it dispenses the right amount to use. On the down side, the top is a flat surface with the dispenser in the middle, so you end up smearing the product across the top, which I didn’t like so much. The product feels nice to apply, and is unscented (or possibly very mildly scented) which I like. It smooths on well and feels luxurious on the skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good So Far [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s difficult to give this a fair review as I need to provide my feedback within 2 weeks of receiving the product. For week 1, it is to be applied twice throughout the week. For week 2, every other night. Third week it’s applied nightly, as tolerated. So I haven’t had the chance to really experience the benefit of the product. However, let’s start with the packaging. I love the pump bottle. Push down on the cap and it delivers exactly the right amount leaving a clean top. The cream does feel nice on the skin after being applied at night and skin did feel soft the next morning, though I’m really not sure if it’s any better than my usual night cream which is much cheaper. I have sensitive skin and I got no reaction at all, so that was really pleasing. I can’t see any change to my skin texture or overall appearance but that could definitely be because I’ve only used it for ten days where the product is designed to be used for much longer before a result is seen. I will continue to use and monitor. I usually love L’Oréal products so I have high hopes for this product. It hasn’t disappointed so far, but it hasn’t had a chance to shine either.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpowering fragrance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beauty Crew kindly sent this to me for review, but unfortunately with Australia Post delays I’ve only had it in my possession for a bit over a week, so it’s difficult to review its long-term effectiveness. As a regular user of prescription-strength retinols, I doubt this will have much of an impact. Initial thoughts: Pro’s: Packaging is great! I love the sealed tub with pump dispenser that delivers a precise amount of product . No wastage and extremely hygienic. The cream itself is light and absorbs easily. It’s very hydrating and plumps up the skin nicely. I particularly noticed this effect when using on the backs of my hands - the light lines & wrinkles practically disappeared! Con’s: The price is pretty steep, both in comparison to basic formulations like The Ordinary, as well as prescription strength products. It’s extremely highly fragranced and the smell doesn’t dissipate, lingering on skin plus anything it touches e.g pillowcases. It gave me a bit of a headache and I don’t consider myself especially sensitive, so I would not recommend it for those sensitive to fragrance. I found it quite irritating on my neck, which I also put down to the fragrance, given I use prescription retinol there with no issues. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend this product - the fragrance is just too overpowering and I think many would find it irritating. I’ll use it as a hand cream (mostly because I hate throwing anything away!) but I certainly won’t be purchasing it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not suitable for sensitive skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the L’Oreal Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream and first thing I noticed was the pressed jar feature that dispensed a perfect amount for each use. This was quite innovative and impressive. The texture of the night cream was very smooth and wasn’t thick so it was extremely nice to apply to the skin. It didn’t have a sticky feeling which absorbed well into my skin. I applied as suggested on the packaging all over my face, neck and décolletage and I noticed my skin was extremely red and irritated the next day. I stopped using the product as I was worried that it would irritate my skin again. My rating is based on the fact that I reacted and couldn’t really see if there was any changes to my skin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from peeling off skin and acne After applying this cream at night my skin is getting irritated. My skin is peeling off, getting redness in my cheeks area. Also feeling ichy. It tend to appear some kind of blister which is really ichy and felt burning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Far too heavily scented. Too thick for my skin type. My skin hates the thick, heavily scented cream moisturisers, and while this one isn’t too bad on thickness, it’s VERY heavily scented. Way too overpowering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made my face peel and my skin sensitive to touch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried a lot of different products, lasers and face peels and would categorise my skin as normal, not sensitive. I really wasn't expecting to have such a reaction to this product. However after the first time I used it my skin felt sensitive the next day and it looked really dry. I tried it again 2 days later and my skin peeled, dry and flaky all over and really sensitive even when applying a fragrance free gentle moisturiser. Applying sunblock stung, I have had less peeling from a skin peel. Use with caution it is very harsh.
