What do I need to know before using Revitalift Pressed Cream?

Can I apply this moisturiser on my neck or under eye area?

Directions

Retinol may cause initial redness, tingling or dryness. Your skin will need time to get used to this powerful ingredient. It is recommended to introduce it gradually.
WEEK 1: Apply one pea-sized pump 2 nights per week to face, avoiding the eyelids. Use an additional pea-sized pump for the neck and decolletage. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 the morning after to protect skin.
WEEK 2: Apply every other night.
WEEK 3: Apply nightly as tolerated.
Avoid intentional exposure to sun and artificial UV, as skin may be more sensitive. It is normal to experience some initial redness, tingling or dryness while using Retinol. If this happens, stop using it for a few days, then use less frequently. If severe irritation develops and lasts, discontinue use and talk to your doctor. Do not use on broken/irritated skin or on eyelids or lips. Do not use in conjunction with other Retinol products.

Great for any season. I could feel the skin smoother and brighter the next day. The light fragrance is very nice, very gentle without being too try-hard or artificial. The pressed-cream design is great as I often tend to underestimate the amount I should use in any skincare product. It gives me exactly what I need. It is so fantastic that when I get to the end of this product, I could just open it and scoop the remaining out from the jar as I will feel it’s so much waste if I can’t. The only downfall of this product is the Retinol. I am someone who love trying new products but not have too much ingredients knowledge I learned that Retinol is harmful and unsuitable for pregnant women but it’s not stated on the box. It’s good to know that I shouldn’t be exposed to the sun with this product but it’s as important to clearly warn pregnant women not to use it.

Use once to twice a week for a noticeable benefit in your skin texture, glow and smoothness without suffering from skin senisitivity that so many other retinol creams cause. Texture is hydrating, not overly scented or tacky on the skin. Take care applying on the delicate areas around nose, lips or on the neck as irritation can occur if used there. I mixed with another basic ceramide rich moisturiser to get a gentler result. It is always a must to wear a good SPF50 sunscreen during the day to protect your brand new younger skin from photo ageing sun effects. I would definitely re purchase as happy with the results in only a short time of using this product. Well done Nivea a real winner all round!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, let me just say I absolutely love the smell of this cream. I am super sensitive with scents and a strong overpowering smell is a complete turn off for me. This night cream smells amazing (kind of reminds me of something but I can’t put my finger on what). The little push down on the lid and be delivered with the perfect amount of cream is great. No mess involved what so ever. I’d love to see more products adopt this approach. The cream itself goes on well, rubs in perfectly and you don’t feel like you have a heavy cream on your face at all. I did have one slight reaction because I rubbed my eyelid before washing my hands and it was a bit red the next day but that was it. I had no other reactions or symptoms. Being new to retinol I was concerned as my skin can be unpredictable, but again, no issues other than my own carelessness. I haven’t noticed any major changes to my skin or skin tone so I will continue to use the product and assess. Due to the introduction phase of using this item I don’t feel I reaped it’s full potential to date but I do hold hope.

The press-release packaging ensures you get just the amount you need and no more, meaning no waste. Additionally, it's super hygienic compared to other moisturisers where you put your finger in the pot, so less chance of contamination. From the packaging alone, I'm in. The formula feels luxe, it's thick but smoothes out and does not feel heavy on the skin. It leaves enough of a sheen that I felt like I had been in a spa, but this wasn't great when applied before bed (as Retinol should be). I had to change my pillowcase every night until I learned my lesson to apply it immediately when getting home from work so it had time to do its thing while I prepped dinner and wound down for the day. Skin looked hydrated and brighter the next day, and definitely smoother. I'd recommend it for those looking for a more luxe-feeling (without the price tag) evening product.

Starting with packaging, it’s amazing. Press the jar and sufficient amount for one use comes out. The texture of the cream is smooth and have a nice light fragrance . The cream slides smoothly on ur skin and instantly softens the skin. It didn’t irritated my skin as I am use to retinol. How it’s going to effect the age spots n fine wrinkles will take time as I have only used it for 2 weeks so far. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who has ageing skin concerns.

The push down pump is great giving you the right amount to use. I started by using the product twice a week for one week. By the end of the first week, I noticed the my T zone wasn't as oily as normal and my face felt smoother. The second week I used every second day and at the end of the week there really wasn't much change. After the third week using every day, I found that my neck was quite sensitive to the cream but my face was good. My face had cleared and firmed a little but saw no real change to my fine lines and wrinkles. I would highly recommend this cream to everyone, if do have sensitive skin like me you can go back to using every second day. My skin is clearer, softer and with continued use hope to see my skin firmer and a few less wrinkles.

So when I came across L'Oreal's Revitalift night pressed-cream I didn't hesitate to try it out. First observations, I was very curious about this "pressed cream" packaging. A bit of a novelty but I get the benefits of it as it is much more hygienic and supposedly dispenses the required amount of cream each time. Usage, the instructions state that when you first commence using this cream that you only use it 2 nights during the first week and avoid the eyes. Heed this warning as I find this cream very potent. My skin isn't usually the sensitive type but my cheeks felt a bit itchy and hot after the first 2 uses in the first week. This ended up settling half way through the 2nd week with no more sensitivity of the skin. I'm 3 weeks into my trial and continue to use this pressed cream 3 times a week. It is a very delicate and smooth cream which absorbs instantly with no sticky residue. The effects of it is marginally visible at this point as its only been 3 weeks. My sun pigmentation appears slightly less raised and dark which is the benefits of Niacinamide. I will continue to use the cream as the combination of the Retinol and Niacinamide is exactly what my skin needs at my age.

This Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream is great for someone new to using retinols. It comes with clear instructions on how to slowly introduce the product to your skin in order not to cause any irritation, which i found very useful. The added niacinimide means I can combine 2 skincare steps into 1. The packaging is one of my favourite things about this product. The pump design mean that you get the perfect amount of product every time. It is also more hygienic than open jars which you have to put tour fingers into. The cream itself reminds me of hair conditioner - the fragrance, colour and texture. It is lovely and creamy , but absorbs into the skin well. I have yet to see any big results, but I do feel like my skin texture and tone is more even . My dark hyperpigmentation spots from acne scarring seem to be less obvious. My skin feels smooth and soft after applying the cream, but does tingle when I cleanse the next day.

The pump dispenser provides exactly the right amount with no wastage. There is a slight fruity scent to the moisturiser however, not too strong and not enough to put me off using it. I have been using retinol products at night for several years so I used this moisturiser every second night from when I received it. I'm happy to say that there has been no irritation to my sensitive skin since I have been using it. In fact, I have found that my skin is lovely and moisturised, soft and glowy in the mornings after using the product. I would happily recommend this moisturiser to anybody looking for a nice night cream with the added benefits of retinol.

I really like the packaging as it's easy to use by pressing the top to administer the amount you need. Love the texture and it felt great on my skin! As my skin tends to be on the dry sensitive side, I applied my rosehip oil over the top and this made my face feel comfortable and hydrated. If your skin is oily, you probably won't need any extra hydration. My skin looked smooth and clear when I woke up in the morning so I'd definitely purchase this product again!

My skin is quite sensitive and I'm prone to acne around the chin and jawline so I wasn't sure what the reaction to it would be. So far, so good! No breakouts or irritation which is great! Nice consistency and it absorbs into the skin very well. I also pop on some additional moisturiser afterwards as my skin can feel quite dry at night. I'm going to keep an eye and still what the effects are like longer term but I've liked how refreshed it makes my skin look in the mornings. The box and container it comes in is very nice with lots of detail about the product and its benefits. I usually use The Ordinary products and I'll continue using this as part of my skincare regime.

Perhaps I need to try for just a bit longer. I love the pump which just pumps out exactly enough to use so there is no wastage. I've only had the chance to try the cream for a few weeks and as suggested it should be introduced gradually. First of all I love the pea-sized pump which helps measure the perfect application amount each time. It's both easy and effective to use. The cream is a lightweight consistency and spreads evenly. I did feel a slight tingly sensation at first, but this soon goes away shortly. My face feels soft and hydrated after each application. Although, I'll need to use it for a longer duration to see any real benefits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trying the L’Oréal Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream for almost three weeks now, and boy has my skin gone on a journey! I have used different retinol over many years, and never once have I experienced what is described as the ‘retinol uglies’. Initially I was going to dive right in and use this every night, but I decided to follow the instructions on the box- something I recommend to everyone. While not a fan of the smell, I do love the texture of this cream. It is thin, but feels hydrating and sinks rights in. By the second week I could see that a purge was happening, and for the first time in my experience of retinol, that my skin was flaky. Rather than being disappointed, I was actually quite surprised, as I have never experienced a retinol working this quickly. By stripping back, the rest of my routine initially, and keeping my skin hydrated, the flaking stopped rather quickly. I introduced some stronger acids back in, the purging cleared, and now my skin feels amazing, and looks clearer then when I started! This product is powerful! The jar dispenser is perfect to get the right amount of product out and keep the ingredients away from the destroying nature of air and light. I plan to keep this in my routine a couple of nights a week, and definitely recommend it.

I have used Retinol products before, mainly serums which are quite expensive ,but this cream goes on beautifully and I was amazed at how a small amount could go so far. I used 1 pump for my face and 1 pump for my neck. I am only into the second week of use,which is use every second day and had no reactions at all which I was expecting as my skin can be sensitive,but it makes my skin feel soft and very hydrated. In the morning my skin still looks very dewy. I can't wait to be using it daily next week. I would recommend this product and really at this price point it is exceptional value.

It felt very moisturising throughout the night and into the next day until I cleansed the next time. This was an easy addition to my daily routine that compliments my other products. Personally I think that products in a jar should come with a spatula to minimise the introduction of bacteria, if this came in a tube I would be more inclined to purchase it again. The packaging also did not feel as luxe as some other premium brands, but I guess that is expected for the price point. It is one of the better products at this price point that I have used to date.

The pump took a few tries to work out however after a few goes you dont even think about it. The smell is pleasant and not too strong. I found the consistency quite thick however I am used to using night serums. I will continue to use this to see if the results last. Due to the retinol it needs to be gradually added to your skincare routine so I’ve only been using this for about 2 weeks. The first time I used it I experienced a small amount of dryness in patches, however after using it a few more times this no longer happens anymore. The jar dispenses the perfect amount to cover your full face and part of the neck & the cream is smooth, low fragranced, and absorbs into the skin easily whilst leaving it feel hydrated. I’m going to continue this as part of my regular skincare routine and hope that with the increasing usage it continues to give me even better results!

The airless jar dispenser ensures you are not compromising the efficacy of the product each time you use it. Premium brands have been doing this for years and finally L’Oréal has seen the light (or more precisely learned that a retinol product should not be exposed to the light). This is a big upside to this product over others at this price point. Also the dispenser gives you the perfect amount which ensures you are not using too much product. Love love love. Secondly, there is no scent to this product. For me this is a big plus. I have sensitive skin and hate most scents on my face so any real scent is a dealbreaker. I love that this product has niacinamide in it as that is my HG ingredient. I usually use The Ordinary’s niacinamide serum alternating nights with my retinol, so I liked that this was a two-in-one. Because I was already a pretty regular user of niacinamide I can’t say whether this made a visible difference but I was certainly no worse off. It is difficult to say anything about the efficacy of this product because I had to leave my review after two weeks, which is only about 5 applications. Although I already use retinol I was not taking any risks (and also I was a little unclear on the retinol amount in this) so I followed the instructions to ease into this by using product twice a week for first week and progress to every second night. So far no issues but also not enough time to tell you if I’ve been persuaded to switch from my usual (more expensive) retinol product. That being said, I really like the packaging, the lack of scent, the application and I haven’t had sensitivity from it. I am going to definitely finish using the jar and I am feeling very hopeful that this may be my new go to.

However, I like the way it is dispensed as you push down the top (like a big button) and the right amount of cream comes out so there isn't any wastage. The cream itself was lighter than I expected but felt hydrating on my skin. I liked the smell but it could be too perfumed for people that don't like much scent. The cream sank into my skin well, although I do have dehydrated skin. I have been using the cream every other night as I previously used retinol so my skin was used to it. I would follow the instructions carefully if you have not used any Vitamin A but feel this could be a good introduction to retinol. The next morning, my skin feels soft and I haven't had any redness or reaction. I will carry on using this to see how it compares to the retinol serum I was using before.

I can say so far, so good. It comes in a wider pot format with a push top button dispenser (handy for those with limited mobility). It does have a strong (but pleasant) lemony scent. From my experience with retinol products they have an awful smell, so I'm guessing the additive of fragrance is to make it more appealing. The cream is very thick but not sticky or greasy. Reminds me of a sleeping mask, very velvety and smooth and hydrates well overnight. I do like the cream and it seems my skin is enjoying it, no adverse effects and my skin is decently hydrated and I feel like it is a little brighter and smoother. The full effect will obviously be after a month as recommended, but I am confident it will happen as I do see some change already.

An innovative and useful approach. I am 50 years old with rather dry and sensitive skin. This is my first retinol product and I have heard that it can be drying and difficult to tolerate, but this cream feels very hydrating and it leaves my skin feeling moist and hydrated all night. I have even noticed that is less dry than usual in the mornings. I have had no dryness, redness or other side effects at all. Having said that, I have been using this cream for 3-4 weeks now and I have been following the instructions closely, but I haven't noticed any effects on my face lines, wrinkles etc. I believe that there will be more visible effects with the longer-term use, so I intend to finish the cream and continue using it in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trialling this product for the last two weeks and have found it to be very hydrating which isn't normally the case with other retinal products I use. When I wake up in the morning it leaves my skin feeling soft. As it's only early stages, I cannot visibly notice any of my darker spots or lines reduced, but I will keep using this over the next month to see clearer results. It's a very lightweight product and you don't need to use much to spread it evenly across your face. I really love the pump bottle too!

I was surprised by the generous size of the jar and the innovative dispenser in the form of a press down device. This enables the Cream to be handled in a hygienic way and without any wastage. The first night, after cleansing my face and patting dry, I dispensed a good dose of the thickish, white Cream. The scent is nice and the Cream's texture is quite lovely. I used the Cream on my whole face, neck and decolletage. Be careful to not get any on your eyelids or lips. Next morning my skin looked a tiny bit red but I used the Cream again four nights later as per the instructions on the box. I then noticed some skin peeling, especially on my forehead, the next morning. The skin peeling continued for a continuous few days, which freaked me out a bit but this is the normal process for a Retinol Cream. Moisturising in the morning with my usual moisturiser is a 'must'. The Cream leaves the skin quite dry next morning. I'll continue to use this product but probably just twice a week for now. There is some improvement in my skin texture and clarity so it's doing what it promises.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicole G. from Feel’s luxurious [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser pressed cream Night Retinol + Niacinamide for close to 2 weeks now and I am impressed. The jar is really easy to use, you just press the top and out pumps the correct amount of product . This will keep the cream fresh, with no waste and hygienic as there is no need to put your fingers in the jar as in traditional creams. The jar itself is quite attractive and has been sitting on my countertop, not shoved in a drawer. It would also be good to travel with as there would be no chance of it leaking all through your bag. The only downside would be you would not know when you are close to running out, it would just happen. The cream itself has a lovely consistency, it’s really light almost like a gel. It feels very hydrating on your skin and moisturising without feeling heavy. The scent is pleasant, without being overpowering and seems to disappear once it has all soaked in. When I woke up in the morning my skin felt soft and plump. I had no irritation as I currently use both a retinol and a niacinamide. I was very happy to have both ingredients combined with the addition of hyaluronic acid. I appreciated being able to streamline things and save some time and cost of having separate products. My routine while using this was ,in the evenings I would double cleanse, tone and use this cream. I have dry skin and would let the cream settle and then just before bed I would add a drop of oil to seal it all in. Another plus for me was that it did not irritate my sometimes sensitive and reactive skin. My skin did not show too many changes as it is still early days, but it felt really comparable to what I was previously using. Except, and this is a big one, this is so much better price wise. I think it is really good value for money and a quality product. Just as a sideline I additionally used this on the backs of my hands to see if it would make a difference, as I have never used anything apart from hand cream and sun cream on them. After ten day’s or so I can see a definite improvement. Being a bit older I have discolouration and age spots and I was surprised to see how much of this look’s like it’s starting to improve. They look much more even toned and smoothed. I wish I had taken a before shot to show. It would be really important to follow the directions on the box and use accordingly if you are new to retinol or even just to see how your skin reacts as we are all different. The instructions recommended starting only two nights for the first week. It is super important to make sure you maintain enough sun protection. My only con would be that I could not find the percentages for the active ingredients. I can see that the niacinamide is close to the top of the ingredients list, whilst the retinol is about half way down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Janelle B. from light and moisturising [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is extremely light for a night cream, A measured amount from the container device is more than enough to do your whole face and neck area, I even used it over my eye cream which I think help add moisture. It sits for a while and is shiny, but give it about 5 minutes and seems to soak into your skin leaving a light but very moisturising film. Found it great for my dehydrated skin. Looking forward to seeing how it works longer term but in the 2-3 weeks I've used it every night and am extremely happy with the results. Will definately continue to use this product into the future.

I have decided to not use my other creams in my night routine, I found this one does the job. I’ve noticed with continuous use my pores are less visible and my skin looks smoother. Takes away the complexity of using retinol in pure form. Easy to apply and it has a nice rich feeling so it feels like my skin has moisture also a little goes a long way. Highly recommend this product if your over using more than three night creams! This is the only one you need on your night stand

I've been using 2 pumps per night and found that is the ultimate amount I need. The new packaging with the "press for pump" is so good and useful and reduces wastage I've used another L'Oreal Revitalift product but I think this one is better and an updated formula. I will keep using this every night for beautiful glowing skin. The scent was also fresh and not overpowering like some night creams can be.
