What do I need to know before using Revitalift Pressed Cream?

Can I apply this moisturiser on my neck or under eye area?

Directions

Retinol may cause initial redness, tingling or dryness. Your skin will need time to get used to this powerful ingredient. It is recommended to introduce it gradually.
WEEK 1: Apply one pea-sized pump 2 nights per week to face, avoiding the eyelids. Use an additional pea-sized pump for the neck and decolletage. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 the morning after to protect skin.
WEEK 2: Apply every other night.
WEEK 3: Apply nightly as tolerated.
Avoid intentional exposure to sun and artificial UV, as skin may be more sensitive. It is normal to experience some initial redness, tingling or dryness while using Retinol. If this happens, stop using it for a few days, then use less frequently. If severe irritation develops and lasts, discontinue use and talk to your doctor. Do not use on broken/irritated skin or on eyelids or lips. Do not use in conjunction with other Retinol products.

I’m still on my second week of using this as I received it just shy of 2 weeks ago so I have only used it a handful of times and therefore haven’t noticed any radical changes yet, but I can say that my experience so far has been nothing but positive. First of all, I love the packaging! I have never used a cream which dispenses in this manner and I think it’s brilliant; extra hygienic and easy to use and get the correct amount per application. I love the texture! It isn’t too thick so it spreads nicely and melts into the skin easily. It doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, and has a nice floral scent which isn’t overbearing but I would prefer no fragrance (it can make me feel a bit ill at times, or, for some, be the extra irritant that makes or breaks a product). Following the guide by starting off using twice in the first week and every other night during the current second week, I didn’t experience any negative side effects. This has been gentle enough so far so I don’t expect to encounter any issues when using it nightly, as tolerated, when into my third week of using. So far, I have noticed some changes to my skin with the most obvious being less breakouts, especially noticeable at the time when I breakout like clockwork due to hormones. This alone is a great reason to continue using this, but I have also noticed my skin is slightly smoother and firmer, as well as less dull overall, so I am excited to see how my skin looks after longer use. I love the overall look, feel and experience so far using this cream and I am intrigued to see how well it can tackle my deepest forehead wrinkles, which will be a true testament to its power. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to reverse the effects of time to give this a try.

I am happy to say that I did not have any adverse reactions which is uncommon with my sensitive skin. The product is packaged in a pump jar which is easy to use and prevents waste and overuse. The cream itself is lightweight with a pleasant fragrance. It was easily absorbed by my skin and made my skin feel plump and hydrated. My skin's clarity has also definitely improved and I can see some improvement in some dark spots on my face. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this product to see longer term results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to trial this night cream as being in my late 30’s my skincare routine needs these 2 wonderful ingredients Niacinamide & Retinol to help with anti-aging and hydration. In the short time I have used this product I am so far very impressed and am looking forward to continuing use and seeing (hopefully) even better results. The jar is a really nice hard plastic which gives the products a “luxe” feel in my opinion and with the push down dispenser that dispenses just the right amount of product is a winner. The cream itself is a really nice consistency. Not too thick or too runny. It has a really nice subtle scent which is not overpowering at all. The cream applies and absorbs beautifully and instantly makes your skin feel plump and hydrated. Being that it is a Retinol it is recommended that you first use this night cream twice a week and work your way up however I use it every 2nd night as I am used to using Retinol and have had no issues in the past and no reaction, stinging or burning from this particular product. Like I said, I have not used this cream for long but so far, so good and as it currently stands I would repurchase this product.

The packaging to start with was clear and concise and gave a good blurb of the product, it’s ingredients and how it looks after your skin. The cream packaged in the jar and having to be pushed down to get a dosed amount of cream gave me such a sense of elegance and I felt like another person for a moment. After my first use I felt my skin was softer and definitely more hydrated. The cream was really lightweight and did not feel as though it was clogging my skin or pores. There was no greasy or oily residue left on my skin and I did feel as though my skin was glowing. After 2 weeks of use I really feel as though I can notice a difference in how my skin looks and feels, from the skin tone to the few wrinkles that I could see starting to set in on my face. My skin tone looked more even and Dewey and those wrinkles actually seemed to look less and less noticeable. I’m definetly going to continue using this product and I believe I will be making sure I look on the shop shelves to buy this product for the future. My skin definetly feels and looks as though it’s had hundreds of dollars of treatment spent on it for such a small price.

I have been wanting to get on the retinol bandwagon for a while as it's known to be the only effective ingredient for anti aging. Niacinamide is also a fab ingredient for brightening and acne. Loved the packaging and hope you get the right amount with each press. Whilst it's hard to say whether it made a difference in such a short time, my skin did feel a bit brighter each morning. I tried to stick to the directions however I may have gone a bit too hard too soon as I got some flaking skin on the tip of my nose and around my eyes (which I thought I had avoided but obviously not!) I'm definitely going to keep using this cream and can't wait to see the results.

It comes in a 50ml pump jar. Making it hygienic and single dose. No need for finger dipping into jars! The cream has a lovely light texture and beautiful light fragrance. One pump moisturisers the entire face. It absorbs well into the skin leaving it to feel soft, hydrated and smooth. The cream has a regime to make you tolerate it. First week twice a week, second week every second night and third week use nightly as tolerated. It is recommended to use sunscreen with a minimum spf 15 to protect the skin the morning after. My skin has felt nourished and moistured during the course of using. I have a few fine lines which appear to look smoothed out. My skin appears more refined. I haven’t used for 8 weeks however would love to see if there is a continued improvement to skin during a longer course as stated on the box. Overall a lovely night cream. Thoroughly enjoyed using.

I have followed the instructions, and applied it twice in the first week, and am now using it on alternate nights. So far, I like it. It feels lovely on the skin after applying, and I've had no irritation. It has a light, pleasant fragrance. My skin feels moisturised and soft the next morning. It has been too soon to notice any change in the texture or condition of my skin, so I'm looking forward to using it for longer. The packaging is interesting - it is good that it hygenically delivers a metered dose, but I would like to see a transparent strip somewhere on the jar to see how much is left, and to make sure there is no leftover or wastage at the end of the jar. L'oreal are one of my favourite brands, so I have high hopes that this product will deliver on it's promises with continued use.

I have used the product five times over the last two weeks, as is recommended on the packaging, so have not noticed any dramatic changes to my skin yet but I have noticed that my skin feels a lot smoother and more hydrated. I also love the lightness of the cream and the way that it absorbs into my skin. It makes my skin feel refreshed and renewed. I love the way the packaging is designed to dispense the exact amount of product by depressing the lid which is much more hygienic than putting your fingers into the jar. I love the sophisticated look of the packaging and that it is also the perfect size/weight to pick up and hold with one hand. This is not something that you would normally think about but when you compare the ease of picking up this jar to others then there is a remarkable difference. I will continue to use the product nightly now and feel that the longer I use this cream the more my skin will show signs of improvement.

Skin is much smoother and decrease in pigmentation is visible. I started to introduce the product 2 x week and increased to 3 x per week. I did drop back to twice a week as my skin was drying out a little bit. The product went on smoothly and had a luxe vibe about it which was surprising, the product wasn't highly scented. The packaging of the product was handy with the dispensing press down, which is no mess, no fuss! I will continue to use this product and would recommend to others.

The cream has a lovely texture, subtle fragrance not overwhelming as some can be. The cream absorbs very well into the skin, feels lovely and smooth. I didn’t have and redness or irritation with this cream, felt comfortable on the skin no issues. My skin felt hydrated and plump. It’s too early to tell if it reduces spots or wrinkles, I will keep using it and hopefully there is improvement. Great price point for this type of cream, I will purchase again in future.

I like that it has retinol and niacinamide in it. I don’t get the tingly, strong feeling that can sometimes happen from retinol, maybe because of the moisturising ingredients in the cream, my skin just feels moisturised and soft. I really like the container and that it presses out the right amount - the bottle stays neat and clean, and you’re not having to put your hands in the cream. It also works better than a bottle you have to pump several times. I would love to use this over more time to see how it helps my skin over a longer period of time - so far my skin is doing well with it and looks and feels quite healthy.

After getting use to the different style of packaging/bottle and the way the night cream was dispensed, I found the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream really hydrating and lightweight. I liked the light subtle scent and it felt light to apply, I felt that only using a small amount still kept my skin fairly hydrated the next morning. After a week my skin starting to feel smoother. I like that fact that this does have the retinol and niacinamide combined and I will be incorporating this into my regular night regime.

I love that it contains retinol, niaciniamide, and hylauronic acid. I haven't seen this combination in the one product before, the hylauronic is a wonderful addition and definitely left my skin feeling hydrated. It was so much gentler than using a straight retinol, and my skin was hydrated all night. I also enjoyed the push dispenser. It disperses the perfect pea-sized amount and there is no need to remember how much to apply. The cream has a luxe, glossy consistency and a lovely yet subtle fragrance. I'll definitely continue to use this cream, and look forward to seeing the longer term results.

It’s light yet fresh. The moisturizer it’s self has a really nice consistency to it. It’s light yet feels kind of thick on the skin which is the consistency I appreciate. Over the course of the 2 weeks I trialed it for my skin was a lot more hydrated than it usually would be first up in the morning. I did however have a minor break out while using this product.

I love that I can wake up feeling hydrated and fresh rather than oily or sticky. A good night cream is hard to come by and this promises so much, so I am hoping it lives up to the hype with continued use. I haven’t had enough time to use this completely as advised however so far I am loving the way this feels on my skin. So far I have noticed smoother lines and plumpness and I am looking forward to fully experiencing the anti-aging benefits it promises. No irritations or added nasties. Cannot wait to keep using.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amanda G. from Lovely rich night cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loreal paris revitalift laser retinol + niacinamide pressed night cream has a velvety, thick, creamy texture that feels amazing on my skin. It is absorbed easily with no oily residue and my skin instantly feels hydrated and smooth. I had no reaction using this and have been using it nightly. Love the subtle fragrance, the ease of use of the pressed jar as I know im getting the correct amount of product with each press and not wasting any. I have noticed my fine lines seem to be plumper and less noticeable. Very happy with the results and love the way my skin feels after using it. Will be using this from now on as I can tell the difference if I skip a night's application. Only downside is the plastic lid of the jar is very breakable and doesn't feel as weighted or luxurious as Loreal's other cream jars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Abi W. from No irritation just good results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After some initial struggles with the dispensing mechanism (I was using it just before bed, with the lights off, and could not figure out how to make it work - had to go and turn on the lights and find my glasses to read the box, which very clearly says that it's a push-the-lid to dispense!), I really enjoyed this product. I've had no problems with irritation, just nice results over the couple of weeks that I've been using it so far. My skin is definitely plumper, and my small wrinkles are less noticeable. My skin is also definitely more even in tone, which I hadn't been expecting. The product is almost unscented, which makes it delightful to apply. I also like that it explicitly reminds you to use one press for your face and then another for your neck and decolletage. I found there was enough left over afterwards to also use on my hands - whatever goes on my face/neck/decolletage also goes to the backs of my hands, to keep them well cared for. This product is a nice addition to L'Oreal's range, and I'd buy it in the future because I'm happy with the results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Holly P. from Good progress [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the past two weeks, I've been using the product as instructed, and I've observed that my skin is already displaying signs of improvement in fine lines and hydration. As the weather begins to cool, my skin craves extra hydration, which this cream provides without becoming oily. I have sensitive skin, so the fact that I had no reaction was quite satisfying. The pump bottle is fantastic. When you press down on the cap, it releases exactly the appropriate amount of cream. After applying the cream at night, it feels wonderful on the skin, and the skin feels soft the next morning. I'll keep using it and keeping track of my improvements. I'm excited to see the results.

I've found night creams to be far too heavy, thick and greasy on my oily skin but the texture of this particular one is the total opposite. Firstly, it smells lovely (subtle not over powering) and single dose jar is quite cool. It's such a luxurious feeling cream that makes my skin feel instantly smooth and plump so it was already off to a good start. I didn't have any issues with irritation over the 2 week period of using this product which is great. Even though it made my skin feel really nice, I feel I may need to use it for a few more weeks to notice any changes in skin tone and fine lines.

I was initially tentative - after reading some other reviews about the reactions that the retinol in the product can cause - but I followed the instructions and used only twice a week initially and have worked up gradually to now using nightly in week 3. I have now had 4 consecutive nights using the product and have been pleasantly surprised! It definitely tingles after application, but this settles quickly and each morning I have woken with very clear, hydrated and quite glowy skin! Fine lines on my forehead in the morning are much less noticeable which is a win. I did have some dryness in week 1and I added a face oil after application which seemed to help. I tend to lean towards more of an oily skin type so I imagine that this product may not suit those with particularly dry or sensitive skin - especially if using nightly. It is quite strong. Packaging is lovely and the push down application ensures you do not use too much product. No overpowering scent and feels very fresh when applied. Texture is creamy but still feels light on. It absorbs quite quickly and does not feel greasy or oily. It played very nicely with the face oil I applied after - with no pilling. A great value product that delivers what it says. I would definitely recommend and may even repurchase.

I used L’Oreal’s Pressed Cream Night Retinol + Niacinamide treatment every night for a week and I really noticed the difference in my skin. It looks more radiant and feels so much smoother. Just made me feel fresher overall but i also notced the brightness in my skin. I feel like it visbilty made a difference to the appearance of fine lines around my eyes and forehead. I can imagine if you kept using this for life you would have such amazing results. I used this in conjunction with a day cream as well for best results which is a lighter cream. The heaviness of L’Oreal’s Pressed Cream Night Retinol + Niacinamide treatment really feels nice to apply. Will defintely be recommending this product to friends as it is value for your buck!! Highly recommend to improve your skin.

Especially adding retinol into my skincare routine. I found the product to be extremely lightweight and hydrating. It easily melted into my skin and absorbed quickly too. I did use this around my eyes, neck and chest and favourably did not experience any irritation or sensitivity. I found my skin to be hydrated in the morning and it looked brighter too. Love that it also contains niacinmide and hyaluronic acid too. Means I can skip using two separate products. I also sometimes skipped moisturiser as I felt I didn't need it every night. With continued use I feel it is a great addition to my nightly skincare routine and I would get the added benefits of seeing more results with continued use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Helen T. from A gentle night cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try out this night cream as it contains Retinol and Niacinamide which are the most powerful anti-aging ingredients. The cream comes in a pressed jar which is well designed to keep the product more hygienic and easier to get the right amount for each use. The cream has a subtle fragrance which is pleasant and the texture of the night cream is lightweight on skin. The instructions suggest to use a pea-sized amount twice a day which I follow accordingly. The cream absorb into my skin fairly quickly without feeling greasy or leaving any residue. After using this product twice a day for a two weeks now my skin didn't get any irritation. My skin is noticeably smoother, radiant with a healthy glow. In terms of reduction in anti aging and wrinkles, I can't really see it yet but will continue to use this product and see. So far, I like this cream and not expensive for an anti aging night cream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to trial the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream I incorporated this cream into my evening routine for about 2 weeks. I followed the instructions on the packaging but I highly recommend slowly introducing this product into your skincare regime if you are not accustomed to retinol as I've experienced irritation around my cheek and neck area when I first started using this product. It's hard to comment on the effectiveness of this product due to the short time frame. So far, I haven't seen any noticeable difference in dark spots or firmer skin, but friends have commented on my skin is "glowing". I will continue to use this night cream and hopefully see results. I love the press dispenser idea as it gives you the right amount without contaminating the rest of the jar

I've been using this for the past 3 weeks, for the first 2 weeks I used the cream in the evening after cleansing 2-3 times a week in case of any sensitivity to retinol. In the beginning, it did tingle in areas where my skin is dry around the nose but didn't hurt. The cream is lightweight and easily absorbed. It leaves a slightly tacky feeling but not unbearable. My skin feels soothed after using and nourished - great for dry skin. I haven't noticed a huge reduction in wrinkles but keen to continue using this. I love the new airless pump packaging - great for maintaining the efficacy of the active ingredients. This type of packaging has only previously been seen on premium creams so great that it's now used for mid-priced skincare.

Love the new packaging with the pressed pump bottle it is usually very easy to waste product by taking to much out with this bottle it allows you to access just the right amount. The texture is divine and silky smooth with a pleasant light fragrance and glides on very smooth to the skin. The first 2 applications I didn’t see much improvement in my skins tone or texture as it gets you to gradually use it to get your skin through the first week ,within the second week of use my skin’s tone and dark spots were reducing and my skin had a natural glow. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends and will continue to use this product, I am excited to try other products within this range now by seeing the success within this trial.
