Not gluggy or clumpy or obvious looking, it looks really natural and stays on all day without me needing to touch it up. It also doesn't smudge which I really like as I hate mascara that smudges easily. The texture feels really nice on my lashes too. The light blue packaging is really nice to look at too. I'm glad to know using this product is good for the planet and my face. I'll be buying this mascara from now on and I'm really keen to try the rest of Rimmel's Kind & Free range soon!

It's a simple, everyday mascara for 'natural' results - showcasing length and fullness but not too flashy. It's nice to have a product that is use on the eyes be kind to animals and free from all the nasties. During WFH, I've felt my eyes become a little bit more sensitive than usual (#screentime) and this hasn't had an adverse effect, unlike some other mascaras I've been using during this time. I recommend this one to people who choose cruelty-free usually, but also to those who want something a little more sensitive for their eyes.

And on top of that, the product itself doesn’t disappoint. It’s the perfect go-to mascara for your everyday look, as it’s perfect to get your eyelashes looking beautiful and natural. I’ve been using it everyday for the past weeks and love that it’s buildable without becoming clumpy, so you can work on coats and get the look you prefer. Love that it’s water resistant but really easy to remove, not leaving smudges behind! So it’s a practical, affordable and clean option! Definitely a great mascara for your collection !

The consistency of the liquid is smooth and flowing. A perfect black colour. The product glides easily on the eyelashes. Doesn’t clump or blotch. The coverage is quite thin so multiple coats required. It holds well and has all day longevity. It washes off easily at the end of day. Overall I enjoyed using this mascara and feel it is a great option for every day use. Something I would buy regularly for my makeup case.

A great everyday mascara, the Rimmel London Kind & Free Mascara has a fine application brush that fans out your lases, coating each individually achieving a wispy an feathery look which I find great for wearing to work or during the day. It doesn't flake or crumble, which is especially great for those of us who wear contact lenses. It also had great staying power, while being easy to remove in the evening with some micellar water. I also loved the true black colour and didn't find it messy or irritating, and didn't find that it smudged even if I went straight from the office to sport at the end of the day. I'd definitely purchase again.

Its Vegan and Cruelty free, so yay! But the question remained- does it perform? Well, Yes it does, but this also depends on what you are after.. If you are after beautiful lengthy lashes, that don't budge, come rain or shine, you may want to give this one a miss. This product does lengthen and volumize my lashes, and feels actually good for them, as it moisturizes the lashes too. But, it is slightly clumpy when applied, and does take a few moments to dry. Giving it a 4 star, as its ticks most of my boxes, but there is a slight scope to improve.

I appreciate the effort that has gone into making a vegan mascara and responsibly made packaging. It is not 100% waterproof and on days where I have forgotten to remove mascara before gym it has run and where there is a strong wind and my eyes water a little the mascara will run. There is an ingredient in there that does make my eyes quite sore and a bit red on the occasions it does run.

I didn't find it had any transfer or fallout - even by the end of the day in the Sydney humidity it was smudge free. It was lengthening and I got a good curl from it. I put 2 coats on and didn't get clumping at all. It is pretty long lasting and required a good wipe to get off at the end of the day - I prefer finding it hard to get off at night over smudging and not going the distance in the day. I like that it has nourishing ingredients such as shea butter. A very nice mascara that I would repurchase.

It comes with a straight wand and the bristles worked perfectly for my lashes. It contains Shea butter and Biotin which conditions the lashes and also makes it easy to apply the mascara giving a neat clump free application and it did not feel heavy after applying. It did gave a nice definition to my lashes but wont say its volumizing or add to the length. I did see some flakes after wearing it for half a day. Its a good mascara for everyday look but I would say it did not do anything extra for my lashes in comparision to other mascaras I have used but I liked the fact that this is a vegan product made from clean naturally derived ingredients.

I also like the packaging which is a basic blue tube, which is no fuss and very easy to pack in a small bag for touch ups. What I like about this mascara is that it’s absolutely clump-free and it gives a very natural, wispy eyelash look. I have oily lids which makes it hard for me to wear just any mascara, even the waterproof ones, but I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have “panda eyes” while wearing this. It is also very easy to remove even with micellar water at night which is a hug plus. This is a good go-to mascara for toned down days or for the perfect office look. However, unlike other mascaras that I’ve tried, since it only gave a natura look, it didn’t particularly elongate or emphasise my lashes, which is usually what I look for in mascaras. I have straight and fine asian eyelashes, and I noticed that this mascara doesn’t hold the curl of my lashes, and throughout the day I eventually notice that my lashes have lost their curl and it seems like I’ve not been wearing mascara (but no panda eyes). Overall, it is a good natural mascara with kind ingredients, waterproof, and easy to remove.

It definitely lengthens my lashes but it's not particularly volumising (I like that, though. More of a natural look). It doesn't clump at all and it's super easy to apply and remove. I did find it tends to smudge if you get even a tiny bit of moisture around your eyes (so it's not the best choice for days where you'll do lots of crying, sneezing or yawning!). Not a huge issue, though – it's very easy to wipe the smudges off. I do like the ethos behind this product – the minimal packaging is partially made from recycled materials and the formula is vegan and contains organic certified shea butter and biotin. I appreciate that they're trying to create a product that's a little more planet-friendly.

It comes in a simple blue tube with no noticeable smell. The product itself is on a simple black mascara brush and looks smooth and black. I used this product consistently and found it to be a great everyday mascara. It made a noticeable difference to my eyelashes by thickening and slightly curling and lengthening but did not make statement lashes or super lengthening. You can add an extra coat to get more definition too. I was able to go 12 hour days with no crumbling or flaking of the product off my eyelashes. I think its perfect for everyday use, like work or school but if you were wanting something to make your lashes really long and thick then this isn't the product for you. I love the fact it's made cruelty free and vegan so it's perfect for everyone.

Rimmel's Kind and Free Mascara was an attractive option due to the nourishing ingredients, as well as knowing the product was vegan and cruelty free. I have used this mascara for the past 3 weeks and I love how smoothly it glides on, and how lightweight it feels. Despite my sometimes oily eyelids, I didn't find that this mascara transferred or smudged around my eyes, it didn't clump either, most importantly. While there was a strange scent, it can be overlooked because of how easy this mascara is to use. It has a somewhat firm brush which isn't too big, nor is it too small, so it is really easy to coat all your lashes and even to add a layer or two. It gave me length, volume and black lashes. A great clean beauty option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having received my sample, i was quite surprised at how easy and seamless the applicator applied the product. Even though the brush itself is quite small compared to other brands I have used in the past. The striking blue colour certainly stands out, especially when your rummaging through your hand bag. During the course of the trial i have recommended this product to several people, after having been suitably impressed by its longevity over a typical 12 hour day. It holds it own against some products that sit at a much higher price point. Smooth application leaves my lashes feeling fuller and looking more defined. Being vegan and cruelty free adds to its appeal, with manufacturers moving towards more sustainable practices. The ground work has certainly been laid for a fantastic product, which i can see being a staple in my makeup kit.

The best natural mascara I have ever used. It glides on so easily and feels silky smooth. Certainly no clumping I work in a hot kitchen and I was extremely surprised that there was no smudging and I didn’t end up with panda eyes. I had to apply a few coats to gain some thickness. I have naturally long lashes so I felt that I didn’t really need the length. It’s great long lasting everyday natural looking mascara. Loved it loved it loved it. It is easily removed

It's 100% vegan and doesn't contain and animal derived ingredients which is fantastic to hear! I was so excited for this new launch and especially excited when I was lucky enough to receive a mascara to test out! I like the brush of this mascara it's quite long and skinny. I found it very easy to apply to the lashes and it didn't clump or smudge! It's a very natural look, I didn't find it gave much volume or lift to my lashes but it definitely defined and lengthened them quite nicely. I would recommend to anyone who wants a natural look and 100% vegan and very affordable mascara. It's good for everyday wear but if you want a more dramatic look I wouldn't recommend this mascara. Overall I was pretty impressed with the formula and results from this mascara. I'm very excited to check out the rest of the Rimmel Kind & Free Range!

I I've tried way too many mascaras (almost every chemist cheapy and various more expensive ones) and this is by far the best. It makes my baby lashes look super long without making them spidery or clumpy. I find the brush makes application really easy and I can get easily into corner lashes. It also gives a really bold look and stays put!" My eye lashes also feel nourished and it comes off easily with gentle make up remover. I’ve had lots of problems in the past with mascaras causing eye irritations , this has not happened. A great mascara for sensitive eyes. My new go to Mascara

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara is very light in texture and weight, giving a natural "your lashes but better" effect. The mascara deposited enough black pigment on my lashes to be noticeable, but also felt like a light and thin coating at the same time, which made the application process super easy and effective. I usually find that most mascaras leave smudges under my eyes when I wear them for a full work day, but I was surprised that this mascara had minimal smudging by the end of my usual work day. The packaging is simple but nice, I especially like their choice of blue for the packaging. The wand works extremely well at creating that natural effect on the lashes, and did not lead to any clumping of mascara on my lashes - I would definitely consider re-using the wand itself in future to see how it performs with other mascaras. I believe this is one of the best "natural effect" mascaras I have used, and I would definitely repurchase it.

The product lengthens and thickens my lashes and it holds the curl throughout the day it also naturally defines for a voluminous look, I use about two coats. It doesn't smudge during heat or hot weather and the application is super easy and quick. The packaging is beautiful and the product itself is so pretty to use. The brush ensures there’s no clumps and it’s a lovely natural colour. I feel so good about switching to a natural brand I'm really happy with this mascara and will be purchasing it again.

I always buy the same high end mascara that I've used for years so it was good to compare the two. I found the Rimmel mascara to be more suitable as a daytime mascara, it doesn't give my lashes quite as much lift and definition as I like for an evening look. I love that it conditions my lashes as it contains Shea butter, so it is nice and gentle. It doesn't clump or flake which is a bonus! All in all a great product which I would be happy to purchase.

It is the type of mascara I usually choose, nice dark black and a thin wand. This provided my lashes with a long, fresh and clean look. No clumps or transfers at all, no dreaded panda-eyes, and no flaking - a winner on all counts. The only drawback was the heavy fragrance which I found surprising given the name. I like a mascara that can sweep right into the root of the lashes for an “eyeliner” effect, and this gave a decent darkening at the base while still achieving elongated lashes. Multiple layers works without clumpy build up, and not crumbling at the end of the day. Easy to remove with my regular eye-makeup cleansing routine. Being vegan I am always on the hunt for compatible products to incorporate in my routine. Without the fragrance, this would be a winner.

I think the colour, etc looks cheap. I understand they tried to make it look clean, but i am just not a fan of it. Secondly, the product is fragranced. It was really strong when i first opened it. Luckily, it hasn't caused any issues to me but might be a problem for some. I don't understand why they need to add fragrance to especially eye products. But onto the mascara itself. I found it pretty descent. Especially as it didn't smudge on me as much as other mascaras do. For some reason i get smudging with most of the mascaras (even with tubing!). This hold up quite well, only got smudging by the end of the day. Other than that i didn't find it too volumizing or lengthening, it gave nice definition to my lashes and it was a nice natural mascara. All in all i would recommend it just remove the fragrance please.

I get my lashes lifted every 8 weeks so it’s important to keep my eyelashes as conditioned as possible & I feel like this mascara definitely cares for my lashes. The packaging is a pretty blue tube, it’s minimalistic & I’m here for it! I absolutely love that the ingredients are of 95% natural origins, as I’m really trying to cut back on the amount of synthetic ingredients in both my makeup & skincare. The wand itself is quite narrow with short little bristles, but I really like it as it doesn’t cause clumping when applying the mascara. The mascara coats my lashes evenly & makes them look thicker & a little longer than usual. The mascara stays on well, I’ve definitely put it through it’s paces since I received it, as I live in sunny QLD & it’s been quite humid over the past fortnight & I’ve been wearing it everyday with no flaking, smudging or transfer. It is removed quite easily also with face wash & warm water but I like to go over it with eye makeup remover just to remove every last bit before I go to bed. It’s something I’ll definitely purchase again, my teenage daughters have given it a try too & they both like it also.

It is made from Shea butter and Biotin so tends to give a smooth finish without any clumping. I found it very lightweight and doesn’t weigh down the lashes. The brush is a simple design and makes it easy to apply. I couldn’t see any lengthening though and no matter how many coats I apply, I didn’t see any difference in terms of thickness. This is a great mascara if you want a more natural and not too over the top look. It doesn’t smudge and can be applied on the lower lashes as well. However, if you want a more dramatic look say for parties, then that’s where this mascara lacks.

It's very clumpy when I apply it and have to run a spoolie through it. It does lengthen my eyelashes though. Great price aswell. Comes off the eyelashes easy aswell which I love.

I love the colour of the packaging, so pretty and summery. I was hoping for good things with this product as it has some really great qualities, one being that it is vegan. I have sparse lashes and they're also quite light. So I was hoping the 'volumising' part of this would work it's magic. I found the wand easy to use but I did find that the mascara did clump somewhat upon application and it took a longer time than normal to dry, which left me with dots of it on my upper lids and it was annoyingly difficult to remove. The result left my lashes a tad darker than my normal, like the coating was very thin and didn't make my lashes look any longer or thicker. I gave it 3 stars because the 'vegan' status and because I was OK with my lashes looking subtly different .... because of my lack of lashes...

The packaging is super cute and kind & free is such a good name for a clean product. I have quite flat lashes that aren’t long so I like a lengthening and lifting mascara. On first application it went on a bit clumpy . Next time I made sure to remove more product off the wand. This helped it to go on better but then definitely needed a second application to get volume. Unfortunately there was not much length or lift. It did flake a bit by the end of the day. I think this mascara is good as you’re everyday one but not one if you like lenth.

I usually go with a tubular mascara as I have lots of issues with smudging and panda eyes after only a couple of hours. I tried the Rimmel London Kind & Free mascara and I was very impressed. The packaging is good, large size and I liked the click you get when it closes. The brush is a full and provides very good coverage. When wearing the mascara, it provided a natural look, it did not create huge volume and thickness but it was a nice full natural look. The positive news for me was the smudging was very minimal even after a very long day of wearing, and this could probably be completely avoided with powder. Overall, a very good mascara which gives a nice natural look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kelly L. from Nice mascara for a natural look [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Rimmel London's mascaras and was extremely thrilled to try the Kind & Free mascara. The baby blue colour packaging is quite simple and minimalist, however, it looks a bit "cheap" to my views. They could have done much better on the packaging .Compared to other mascaras of the same brand the Kind & Free doesn't stands out at all. The brush is thin which makes application easy and without clumps specially on the lower lashes. It is very light and lasts hours too. This is the kind of mascara I will use for a natural look as despite applying 2-3 coats, I didn't noticed any change in the length of my lashes. Lastly, I don't like the smell of the mascara as it is too strong for me. Overall, I think the Kind & Free mascara is perfect for an "everyday look" and I enjoy the fact that 99% of ingredients in it are from natural origins and that the brush is made of 100% bio-based fibers.
