Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.

I like the way that it foams, and the application is seem less. I would have to try it out for longer to see the hydration effects especially for someone with really dry skin however it does leave you feeling very refreshed. It isn’t overly oily, and isn’t strong on the skin. It is nice to see that a foaming cleanser actually foams. It isn’t too messy and can be used in the shower, over the basic for simplicity. Can easily be added to an every day routine. Definitely something that I will continue to use and I would definitely recommend this product to others I overall enjoy the product. The only thing that I recommend that could be changed would be the packaging. A lot of writing on the bottle and possibly a colour change to make it stand out abit more

I don't have overly sensitive skin or any major skin concerns but find it nice to use everyday. It's gentle and I don't find it to be drying at all. The only negative I've found is the scent of the product. Although it is labelled as fragrance free (it doesn't have chemical fragrances added in) it does still have a smell which is difficult to describe. This would be the only drawback and the only thing that would prevent me from buying the product again, as I've used other cleansers which have a more pleasant smell that prefer to use over this particular product. If you're not bothered by the smell and looking for a gentle, everyday cleanser then I'd recommend considering this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everyday hero [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser a few weeks ago and love the pump pack it comes in it makes it super quick and easy to use in the shower both Hubs and I love using it. Seems to do the trick and to be honest I do get dryness around my hairline which is super annoying and I started using some CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser between my first and second shampoo just in the front of my hairline and it has helped so much! The only thing I don’t like about it is that even though I obviously don’t have my mouth open when I’m washing my face it always leaves a really gross taste in my mouth, it’s the only thing I really don’t like about it. It’s a great staple!

I have normal skin on the drier side and have always lent toward cream cleansers. The claims for this cleanser sounded like they would meet my needs so I jumped at the chance to try this. The bottle is the same in style as other products from the brand - a style that clearly works. The pump was easy to use and allowed me to dispense as much or as little product as I liked. I found that about one pump was enough for me. Whilst this product is fragrance free I must admit I found the smell a little bit off-putting and medicinal, however this is personal preference as I am quite sensitive to smell and I wouldn't let it put you off trying this product! The product itself lathers into a nice light foam and did not leave my skin feeling tight at all. My skin felt supple and hydrated. I will continue to use this cleanser some more before I decide whether or not I would purchase it again, but ultimately I would recommend trying this.

I am a regular user of the Cera Ve hydrating cleanser in the non foaming version, so was interested to see how this compared. The packaging and pump is simple and effective, and I like that you can see how much product is left in the bottle. The product foamed up well, but the fragrance free scent was a little unpleasant. My first use left my skin feeling a little tight, but it quickly adjusted. It worked really well at removing all makeup and skincare, and I tried using it both as a first and second cleanse. It was hydrating, although I feel my usual Cera Ve cleanser in the green and white packaging gives me more hydration. Overall a good and effective cleanser!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, having both dry and acne-prone skin. The cleanser feels like a gel when it cones out, and applies seamlessly to the skin due to the texture. I then wet my hands and rub the gel, which turns it into a non-stripping foam. It gently hydrated my skin, while getting the satisfaction of a foaming cleanser. It also didn’t cause me to break out, which many oil-based products do. I also tried it as a double cleanser to remove makeup, and then cleanse, but I don’t think it is strong enough to perform that function. While it removed my foundation (mascara was too stubborn), my skin didn’t feel 100% free if makeup residue.

I have heard so many wonderful things about it, and finally got my hands on it to give it a try for myself. All I can say is I love this cleanser. It is so gentle on the skin and leaves you feeling hydrated. After using, your skin feels so lovely and soft. It also has a really nice fruity smell to it too. You don't need to use much product to get maximum effect, therefore I feel as if this bottle will last months and months. If you haven't already, you need to try this product because it is the missing item in your skincare routine.

Wouldn’t usually go for an oil cleanser as I have found in the past that sometimes it left a layer of oil and made my skin feel oily after cleansing. Was happy with the trial of this product. I have sensitive skin so can be somewhat skeptical about products, as many dry out my skin. This product did not do that. The cleanser was easy to pump and I only had to do one pump to get a good amount for my face. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It was gentle on my skin and seemed to cleanse it well. I liked how it only had a fant fragrant smell, which wasn’t too overpowering. If a friend was wanting to try a new oil cleanser as a part of their beauty regime I would recommend the VeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser for them to try. Thanks CeraVe!

I've been using it every night for the past week or so, and haven't had any issues. This product is quite light so it's very easy and comfortable to use. As it is in a pump, I could easily control how much I used without 'overdoing' it. I feel that my skin was thoroughly cleaned after applying once, feeling quite hydrating and nourishing with no effects afterwards such as breakouts. Not only that, but it had a small but rather pleasant smell too.

This cleanser comes out as liquid and foams up easily on your face when applied. It has a pleasant scent and feels like it's thoroughly cleansing. My skin feels hydrated after using and not dried out like some cleansers can do. I probably wouldn't say it's as hydrating as a good cream cleanser but it definitely does a good job and is good value for money with the amount of use you'll get out of the bottle.

Because of the oil and foaming component, it feels like a double cleanse in one and gives the same (in my opinion) result. I do find it a little drying when used as part of a double cleansing routine and also when used both morning and night, however I find it to be perfect for a single night time cleanse. I get a slight surfactant taste in my mouth when using it, but that goes away as soon as I rinse it off. All in all, I would definitely repurchase. Probably one of Cerave’s most innovative products.

My skin feels softer and hasn’t been this clear in months. A small amount seems to go a long way which is great, as I tend to cleanse twice a day. The only thing I don’t like is the odd scent (even though it’s fragrance free, there is something there). I find myself holding my breath to avoid inhaling as I do find it very unpleasant, however I am extremely sensitive to a-lot of fragrances. Would consider using it again. Would DEFINITELY use it again if a pleasant, light fragrance was added.

I love the products I've used from CeraVe so was really interested to reintroduce an oil cleanser that is hydrating and doesn't irritate, dry out my skin especially when I've got reoccurring breakouts. Since using the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, I loved how it left my skin hydrated and not dry. Also given it's gentle I love the combination of it being an oil cleanser but foaming. Other oil cleansers I feel make me break out and left feeling like there's an uncomfortable film left on my skin. I'd recommend this product and will be purchasing it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic cleanser for dry skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have rather dry skin which is prone to breakouts and I absolutely loved this cleanser! I used it only at night and splashed my face with water in the morning. It was not irritating or harsh on my skin and I noticed that it helped reduce redness and improve hydrating. In particular, I noticed that this cleanser was excellent during the winter months when my skin is more dry and problematic. The product lathers great and has no fragrance, definitely a plus. I would 100% purchase this cleanser again, particularly because of how high a quality this product is for its price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dry skin that I try my best to keep moisturised, I was a little hesitant on how this cleanser would feel but was pleasantly surprised. The cleanser foams up really nicely and is great to lather on your face. It doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight, it actually feels really clean and soft post using. I used this along with a face washer and it removed my makeup easily with minimal scrubbing. I think this is a great product for every day use and for all ages- its not scented or overly harsh and the formula feels really gently to use.

My main skin concerns are fine lines and trying to nourish my skin now so that it is healthier for longer as I hit my mid 20's. This was an interesting product. I've never used oil products because I'm not a huge fan of the texture and hate the feel of oil on my skin. The way this transformed when water is added was quite different to anything I have experienced before and I quite enjoyed the way it felt on my skin. It worked well as a morning and night cleanser as the first step in my routine, and worked well with the other products in my skincare routine. This product was light and left my skin feeling soft and clear. It didn't leave my skin feeling tight and didn't feel like a film was left on my face. I personally think I still prefer the current cleanser that I use, however this is a much more affordable option and is a good alternative. If you are looking for a budget friendly hydrating cleanser, this is a nice option.

It has a lovely kind of thick oil texture which emulsifies once you add water which I found super interesting and new and innovative. In my experience I wouldn’t say it removes mascara the best however. As a first cleanse it removes all other makeup and sunscreen well. The formula is very hydrating which I enjoy for a morning cleanse also. It leaves my skin super soft and nourished and not at all stripped or feeling dry and tight. Definitely recommend to anyone. As the formula emulsifies I don’t think find it to be too thick or rich.

My face felt smooth and less oily when I used it daily over a week. It foamed a little when compared to a soap, however if I was to compare to a typical oil, it foamed a lot more. It is advertised as fragrance free, which is accurate, however I think it would make it nicer being scented. I thought it was quite good for cleansing the skin, especially my face, which gave a more natural look. I wouldn’t have looked for this product on the shelves unless it was given to me, however I like it and would be happy to recommend it to others looking for a cleanser to rid of the oily skin look and feel.

I first used the original cerave hydrating cleanser which worked really well and calmed my eczema alot. I am very cautious about including any products that might inflame my eczema but wanted to include an oil cleanser as my first cleanse as part of a double cleanse routine. This one works so well in my routine and does not inflame my eczema and hydrates my skin well. It manages to get rid of all of my makeup and sunscreen and is the perfect addition to my night time wind-down.

The first step of my skincare routine previously was the Garnier cleansing milk, applied to dry skin. I replaced the Garnier cleanser with this Cerave oil cleanser, as my first cleanse, followed by my regular cleanser (Tatcha Rice Wash). I really enjoyed using this cleanser, which wasn't a surprise to me, as I am a fan of Cerave products in general. It is a very unique formula for an oil cleanser. Whilst oil cleansers I have used in the past can feel thick and too oily, this one did not have this issue at all. It lathers really well (a lot better than expected) and is super gentle on my skin. I love that it is fragrance free, as this makes it perfect for sensitive skin. After a week of using it, I haven't noticed any drastic changes to my skin, but I don't really expect that with a cleanser anyway. I will say that my skin feels 'cleaner' though. I have broken out a bit since using this, but I'm not sure that is a result of this product, as it could be 'maskne'. I would most likely purchase myself to continue to use as a first cleanse, as I have really enjoyed using this in my skincare routine.

I have eczema, occasionally get psoriasis and have very sensitive and dry skin so it can be quite difficult to find an appropriate cleanser that won’t strip my face of its natural oils; I was quite surprised that Cerave’s Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser complemented well with my skin. The product is very gentle but is able to effectively remove even the most stubborn of makeup at the end of the day. It has a very nice, subtle scent and leaves my face feeling fresh, hydrated and clean. Despite the fact that I’m not a fan of plastic packaging and prefer more eco-friendly options, I do like that the pump allows for the right amount of product to be dispensed each time. Overall I enjoyed using this cleanser and I can approve that it is a product I will share with people who also have skin sensitivities.

I have eczema myself and can get dry patches on my face and know this product isn’t going to strip my skin and make my fave feel tight. It feels very gentle and I like to use it as a pre cleanse to take of my makeup before going in with another cleanser but is also great to use the cleanser itself. Definitely worth the price as I pay double the amount for other oil cleansers and now can save money for what it’s worth. Also great for travelling as it has a stop and open twist lid so it won’t spill in your bag.

The texture and scent wasn’t to harsh and didn’t affect my sensitive skin. There was very little scent which helped reduce sensitivity, and it foamed just the right about. After use with the rest of my skin care routine my skin felt so smooth and bounced right back after being extremely dry. The packaging was was great quality, and I loved how it have a lock so it doesn’t accidentally come out. Over all it really lived up to the products expectations. This formula I would 100% percent recommended to anyone with either extremely dry or possibly dehydrated skin. I had my mother with more aged skin but who also who has dry skin. Her opinion was that this cleanser completely replenished her skin and was shocked with how little goes a long way!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle oil cleanser As part of my double cleansing routine I like to use an oil cleanser first, followed by a foaming cleanser. When I have sunscreen and makeup on I really want to make sure that everything is coming off why is why I wanted to try the hydrating foaming oil cleanser. It is targeted for those with normal to very dry skin. My skin is more oily and acne prone but because I use it in addition to my foaming cleanser I figured it would be ok. The foaming aspect was very mild, I was hoping it would foam up a bit more to help break down my sunscreen and makeup. It also didn't emulsify as I had hoped so it worked better when I used a face cloth with it. This would be better suited when you're not wearing makeup as it's not that effective at removing it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good makeup remover [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this product but it’s not a product I will be raving to people about because I feel like there are other products on the market just like it. Fantastic for my dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin, but after using at night time and waking up in the morning I felt that I had more ‘slick’ to my skin than usual and I looked a bit greasy. It’s nice it has little smell to it and is good at removing mascara and foundation. The size of the bottle is good for the price and the pump is nice and sanitary. It is however too big to take travelling though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok I purchased this recently to try on my face and body as it seemed comparable to the La Roche Posay oil cleanser at similar price points and had great reviews. I've got to say that I'm not as impressed as I hoped to be. I didn't find that it foams up as much as other reviews have mentioned and I found myself using a lot of product to get a good clean. I also didn't notice any difference in skin hydration. I didn't hate it, but I feel like it did the same job as the standard dry skin /eczema cleansers. I would probably only purchase again if my preferred products from other brands weren't available. From other reviews it seems to work for others so I would encourage buying the smaller size as a trial, as everyone has different tastes in products!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I liked it but… [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally avoid using oil based products because they have made me break out in the past but I had a pleasant experience with this product. Usually my skin is quite sensitive but this products didn’t cause any irritation at all. The cleanser made my face feel both rejuvenated and hydrated and I had a nice experience using it. The cleanser has quite thick in consistency and I didn’t have to use a lot of product. I do have to say I was not a fan of the scent as it was a touch over powering and I felt too much of the product was dispersed in one pump.

At first it made me feel really fresh and glowing but after a few uses it made me have the worst breakouts where I never usually have them! It’s not horrible just wasn’t for me :( I wanted to love it but my skin didn’t. I have pretty normal skin so wasn’t expecting anything to happen when using it but I was definitely devo when the pimples came out!! In saying that it definitely cleans the skin it just must be something to do with an oil base on my skin, if oil based works for you I would definitely recommend!

But because it's somewhere between an oil cleanser and foaming cleanser it doesn't get the best of both worlds. It's a really gentle foam, so doesn't feel like it cleans as deeply as a traditional foaming cleanser. It also doesn't emulsify your makeup as well as a traditional oil cleanser, so it's not ideal for a double cleanse. What it does well is leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. However, I would warn anyone that wears a FULL face of makeup that it may not cleanse as deeply as you need. Great for no/minimal makeup days or a morning cleanse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have quite mixed feelings on this cleanser, I have used a similar concept oil based cleanser for the past 5 years so I’m not going to lie- I was a tad skeptical trying this. I definitely wouldn’t call it an ‘oil’ as such. It is more so an oil based gel as it is quite thick. I also think it lathers (foams as they advertise it) more so like a gel cleanser. The packaging states that it is fragrance free but I do disagree with this, it smells quite chemically- but in a toned down and kind of okay way- definitely not overpowering at all. But it is definitely NOT fragrance free. But I’m saying all that- I actually quite liked the product. It was very easy to lather up and felt like it did the job it was supposed to do. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product for myself, but I would recommend it to friends/family.
