Directions

Wet your skin with warm water.
Take a pea-sized amount of the cleansing oil onto your hand.
Gently massage the product onto your wet skin - emulsifying the oil cleanser into a foam consistency and avoiding the area around the eyes.
Rinse well with water and pat dry with a clean towel.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, thoroughly rinse with water.

I have really dry skin (especially in winter) and have been looking for a suitable cleanser for a long time now. I also typically double cleanse daily (oil first to remove makeup or SPF and then a cream cleanser), but after trying this cleanser, I don't think I'll need anything else. The oil-to-cream/foam formula removes all my makeup without leaving my skin feeling like it's covered in a layer of oil and in need of a second cleanse. Plus, it does a fantastic job of cleaning stubborn sebum while leaving my skin soft and nicely hydrated. So amazing for dry and dehydrated skin, or for those who are looking to simplify their skincare routine. Not to mention the super reasonable price point!

I have very dry skin and usually after a shower, my face feels incredibly dry and I feel the need to moisturise straight away. After using this as part of my shower routine, I don’t have that feeling anymore. My face feels lightly moisturised. This cleanser feels nice both on application and after use. The product is also very generous - I find I only need to use 1/3 of a pump to cleanse my face, as it spreads and covers so well. I will definitely be continuing to use this as part of my routine. Highly recommended.

I have dry skin which can be prone to irritation, redness and occasional breakouts in my T-Zone. This oil based cleanser is super gentle on my dry skin, leaving it feeling clean yet hydrated and nourished. Despite the foaming consistency, my skin does not feel stripped dry of its natural oils which makes it ideal for my skin type and preferences. I love the pump which dispenses exactly the right amount and the value for money. An excellent daily cleanser that I would absolutely repurchase.

After only a few short face washes I was already seeing the effects on my skin. From less black heads to flakes and the glow that it leaves I was truly pleased. I have to say this product is definitely top of the range for hydrating foaming oil cleansers and I am very happy I was lucky enough to be on this team of trials. Even the scent of the cleanser is delicious. I have actually already recommended it to friends and family members. This product has been so gentle on my skin and has really helped to remove any makeup or product from my pores. The texture of this product is fantastic and it feels so soothing when massaging into the skin. As someone with quite dry and dehydrated skin, this oil based cleanser has really helped to improve my skins overall appearance. It comes in a great size bottle and you only need a very small amount of product, as it does go a long way!! I would highly recommend this product to other people who are looking for a gentle, yet effective oil based cleanser. This product is definitely a winner for those with sensitive, dry, dehydrated or even normal skin. 10/10!

Not only is it affordable but is extremely hydrating. I have very dry skin and struggle to find a cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin. After using this for a couple of weeks my skin feels not just hydrated but plumper and brighter. This also does an amazing job at taking off makeup as it is oil-based, usually, I find that I have to double cleanse to get rid of all my makeup but I just need to use this once and all my makeup is gone. I also find that some oil-based cleansers can get rid of my skins natural oils I can't recommend this foundation enough!

As someone with dry and sensitive skin, certain cleansers can leave my face feeling especially dry but this wasn't the case. While the phrase 'oil cleanser' had me worried, since I'm not a fan of the oily residue certain skincare products can leave behind, this was also a non-concern. This is definitely a product I would be willing to repurchase and would easily recommend. I'm looking forward to adding this cleanser to my daily routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for double cleansing The CeraVe hydrating foaming oil cleanser is the perfect first step if you are wanting to double cleanse. Even when I'm not wearing a full face of makeup I always like to double cleanse to remove the sunscreen off my face. When you first pump the product out it looks just like an oil but as soon as you mix it with water it starts to emulsify and foam up. I use this as the first part of my skincare routine because it helps to remove all the makeup and sunscreen from off my face. It does foam up well and my skin feels clean without leaving any greasy residue behind from the cleanser. You can also use it with a wash cloth too if you prefer. Sometimes one pump isn't enough and I go in with a second cleanse of the oil cleanser. I then always follow it up with another cleanser to as part of the double or triple cleansing process. Even though it's for the face I can also see this working well for the body if you have sensitive and dry skin.

The Hydrating foaming oil cleanser is excellent, my skin feels fresh, smooth, and clean always after using it. It has no fragrance and it does not leave any residue behind. I love the pump packaging, very convenient and easy to use. I bought mine last year and I still have so much left in the bottle, such a great value for money. I have a normal to combination skin type and it suited me very well. I love using it as a second cleanse. I would highly recommend and buy it again.

I have almost finished the entire bottle even though I believe it is not best for my skin type which is oily. This cleanser does a great job removing makeup and sunscreen, especially with a double cleanse. I feel like it would be even better for people with dry skin as it is very hydrating. I love the gel/oil like texture but wouldn't say that it foams much at all. The product should be applied to wet skin- so make sure you don't use it as a makeup removing oil or balm. Unfortunately I have has a few times where some product gets into my mouth, it tastes bad. Overall this product is another great one from CeraVe and has an amazing ingredient list.

It cleans without stripping your skin, has a nice neutral smell and helps with skin congestion. I use this as part of my two-step cleansing, using a balm to remove make-up/sunscreen and then this product. It is great at removing stubborn make-up and I do not have to scrub my face. It just glides off. My face does not feel tight (which is a plus) and it feels hydrated, fresh and plump. The only thing I would make different if I were the formulator is if it was a milky oil, rather than a foam. I think it would make it a little bit easier for some people who have sensitive eyes. I will repurchase this product when I finally get through the big bottle!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Cleanser While I am loyal to the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser I did trying out and using up the Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser from the Cerave range. I feel like the Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser did a slightly better job of removing makeup which made it great for night time, it was a little heavy for me to use in the morning. The foaming action is very mild and not stripping at all but I like to keep my skin care routine as simple as possible and I would prefer to use the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser twice than to use two different cleansers at night. If you wear heavy makeup you will love this to remove it and if you have very dry skin you might enjoy this as a morning cleanser. As with most Cerave products, this one was very good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic cleanser! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love CeraVe and i love this cleanser! It does exactly what it needs to do! I find most oil cleansers are way too thick and luckily this one was the right balance. It doesn't leave a residue on your face but still feels as luxurious as any oil cleanser. Its great for removing waterproof makeup as well! Personally i didn't love the smell of it BUT this is because it has no nasty fragrances in it which is such a plus!! I have dry flaky acne prone skin which can be tricky but this cleanser made my face feel super soft and cleansed. I did however do a double cleanse and used CeraVe’s foaming hydrating gel cleanser afterwards. My only issue with this as i like to cleanse in the shower is that if your face is wet it basically just washes away and doesn't do much. You have to use this cleanser with a dry face first to break down all the makeup then follow up with water to get the foaming action! In conclusion i think this is a fantastic cleanser and for the price it is, it should be a staple in anyones routine!

This cleanser is non -stripping, hydrating and gentle; that works well in removing make up and the days sunscreen and dirt. I have dry and red patches next to my nose and this product did not aggravate or harm my skin. My face felt clean and hydrated after use and did not feel overly drying like some foaming style cleansers can do. I think the size of product, the quality of formula and the price make this a really great addition to any skin care routine. I would recommend this to friends and family.

It doesn’t smell, has a gel like consistency and foams well enough. I have really dry (almost flaky) skin and I have to say with this cleanser I didn’t really see any of that which is why I loved it! However, I did expect it to also be a great makeup remover because of the oil in it. So if you’re thinking that too, then this is probably not for you. This cleanser is simply a gentle and mild, everyday cleanser - if you have really dry skin or are just looking for a gentle face wash then I would recommend this. Overall a great cleanser that does what it claims.

It was easy to control how much to use, personally half a pump was enough. Especially if you are only doing 1 wet cleanse. - I love that Cerave products are fragrance free. However this doesn’t mean their products don’t have a smell, however I appreciate no added fragrance to mask the smell of the ingredients. It was very mild, and did not stay on the skin after washing it off. - My skin felt clean but not too tight and dry after using it. However I wouldn’t describe my skin as feeling hydrated afterwards, I definitely still needed to moisturise my skin not long after shower or it would begin to feel dry. - Packaging is nice and simple and the product is a great price. However for me, it lost a star, as I was a bit confused about the product being marketed as an “oil cleanser”. As someone who has double cleansed for years, on days when I wear make up, and have tried multiple balm/oil cleansers as a first step to remove makeup, this product was not marketed as a makeup remover. I tried it at first like instructed then decided to use it like my usual oil cleanser (DHC) but found it less effective at removing makeup, and stung my eyes. It does foam up quite a bit when using with water and doesn’t leave any oily feeling to the skin (great!). As another reviewer said, it seemed more like a “gel” like foam cleanser rather than a traditional oil cleanser you would use during a double cleanse. However I still enjoyed using it. It was effective at removing my sunscreen and easy to use during the shower on most days, since I don’t wear make up often. However it won’t be replacing my DHC oil cleanser on days where I wear make up and need a double cleanse!

It definitely lived up to my expectations. I really enjoyed the foaming formula, a little went a long way and it foamed up fast without having to rub too much into the skin. It was super light and soft on the skin, making it easy to swap into my shower skincare routine. I used this as my first and only cleanse early in the morning and then part of my double cleanse in the evening. i was happy to do a single cleanse with this product in the morning as it left my skin feeling nourished and replenished first thing in the morning. Added bonus, I also love that it is fragrance free, which is a big win in my books as I have sensitive skin. I highly recommend this product for all my fellow sensitive and eczema guys and gals!

They're always gentle, effective, and economical and the hydrating foaming oil cleanser did not disappoint. I have fairly balanced, normal skin but over winter my skin becomes quite dry, so I don't like using a strong cleanser. This cleanser was really gentle but did a great job cleansing away the day. It didn't cause any breakouts and cleaned my skin whilst moisturising it. My skin felt really soft and smooth after use. There's a good amount of product for the price point and you don't need to use much so I can see this lasting a long time. I'll definitely be repurchasing!

I normally avoid using oil based products as it makes my face break out, however this product does the complete opposite. I have reasonably dry skin, and I love the way this cleanser makes my face feel both rejuvenated and hydrated. I saw result in in my face in less than a week. My skin was brighter and my face was less dry. I loved the consistency and texture of the cleanser. I have very sensitive skin where this cleanser didn’t irritate my skin once. I loved the scent as it wasn’t over powering. I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone with dry skin. It worked wonders.

I’ve previously tried other CeraVe products and found them to be really gentle so I was open-minded when trying this cleanser. The packaging is super convenient and dispenses the product cleanly. It was super easy to use and didn’t make my skin feel greasy at all. I used it as a double cleanse as I didn’t quite get the squeaky clean feeling after the first time but the overall result was decent. If you’re open to trying a gentle oil-based cleanser, this is a good place to start!

The name of the product really says it all - foaming and hydrating! The formula is a good consistency to lather which means you only need a small amount and means the product will last longer. Win! I have been using the cleanser both morning and evening and it has balanced out my skin. I have noticed less drying of my skin and more hydration. I really enjoyed that the product is fragrance free and it's comforting knowing the brand/ product is formulated with a dermatologist. It reassures me the product is gentle for my skin. Being an oil cleanser I didn't notice an oily or greasy feel on my skin, the cleanser left my skin feeling clean without stripping the good oils already in my skin. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cleanser for dry skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very excited to receive this product as I love the whole cerave range! Seeing ‘oil cleanser’ made me think I could use this product as the first step in a double cleanse but it’s definitely too thick for that as it is meant to foam up. As a regular cleanser it does the job well, especially if you have dry and sensitive skin. It foams up nicely and doesn’t irritate or strip the skin, and leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and clean afterwards. I’ve had dry skin and a compromised skin barrier from using Tretinoin for acne, so this cleanser has helped soothe those areas without causing new breakouts. Would recommend for anyone with dry skin who is looking for a gentle cleanser. Also comes in an easy to pump, large bottle and will last for ages.

I had high hopes and this product definitely did not disappoint! My skin is combo/normal and I get the odd pimple. The product foams up straight away and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry which is what a lot of foaming cleansers do. I found this removed all of my remaining makeup and was easy to wash off. I usually double cleanse with a cream cleanser but found that I could get away with skipping that step. It make my skin feel hydrated and it was quite gentle. I didn’t mind the subtle scent as well.

It foams well and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. Definitely not a makeup or sunscreen removing oil cleanser as I initially thought it was but after a cleansing balm or an oil, this is the perfect cleanser for normal to dry skin. I would also recommend this for anyone with sensitivities to harsh cleansers as it is not fragranced and very gentle. Overall really impressed and will absolutely purchase it again.
