This razor does give a very close shave, but there is a bit more resistance, increased chance of catching on skin, and doesn't like longer stubble as it clogs easily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Over engineered and cumbersome. I liked the design of this razor - it gave off the feeling of a highly precise tool for shaving. Overall it was appealing and the ball was eye catching. I was surprised by 5 blades however I then anticipated an even closer shave then I had had previously. As it turned out once I had completed the broad easy to access areas of my face the remainder of my shave was cumbersome and time consuming. Because the head on this razor is so large tight spots become difficult to access e.g. between my top lip and nose. I felt I had less control than with my Mach 3 and had to take a lot more care when shaving these areas. Once completed the razor rinses clean very easily. Overall I felt this razor was engineered more for looks and to grab attention by having 5 blades and some novelty turn wheel as opposed to actually improving the shaving experience. Disappointed - I'll stick with my Mach 3.
