Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was ok..but maybe it's just me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of this project is very cute; t could even pass as a bottle of smoothie. The scent was an embodiment of deliciousness and I was VERY excited to try the product! However, it wasn't great for my particular hair type: I have particularly quite course and straight hair strands. The shampoo worked well in cleaning my hair but it didn't make it make it shine quite the same way that it does with my usual shampoo. It's a good product but not going to be a staple for me. I would most likey recommend it for individuals with thin hair as per the product's intention.

It does a good job of cleaning your hair, but it was a very average product. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks, every 2 days. It Cleans my hair just fine, but the effects do not go beyond cleaning the hair. The shampoo Smells brilliant, but the smell doesn’t last in my hair as well. It is a very forgettable shampoo that does the absolute minimum. If you are looking for a shampoo that cleans your hair this is it. If you are looking for a shampoo that does more, better look elsewhere..

I wash my hair every two days or as frequently as needed. The shampoo smelled so fruity and nice just like what a sweet watermelon should be, but with a twist of a candy-like plus bubblegum scent. The scent isn't too strong and eventually diminishes once you washed it off. It's a regular shampoo, in my opinion. It doesn't lather up as much as I wanted it to be, so I really work my way every time I use it. I believe it works well with the conditioner that came along with it. Using it alone made my hair develop more tangles and dry. So, I suggest following it with the watermelon conditioner to get that softer and voluminous effect after.

I went in with high expectations as the sniff test past and I knew it would be nourishing my somewhat dry hair at the same time. The fragrance was short lived, it did not linger in my hair after use which was a little disappointing given other products have lived to tell the tale. Although it lathered and cleaned my hair with ease, it was not long before my hair felt oily and needed another wash. With long hair, I am looking for a shampoo that will give me at least 2-3 days before my next wash (no additional hair products used during this time). Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Shampoo did not deliver and I would not personally purchase this for myself and family.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great I picked this Shampoo and the matching conditioner up in Beautorium as I had seen it in Woolies and thought I would like to try it out. Unfortunately for me it lost me at first sniff. The smell is like watermelon that has been left out in the sun for a few hours, like watermelon only funky, a bit "Off". The packaging is is great, the shampoo bottle is light pink and pretty and the shampoo itself is clear. I actually like that it doesn't have a pump as you can turn this bottle upside down and squeeze out every last drop. It foams up well and I do feel that it does it's job really well. I have quite an oily scalp with very fine thin hair and this shampoo does not weigh my hair down at all. But unfortunately, to me, it smells nasty. Thankfully the smell doesn't last too long, maybe an hour or two at most but this is not enough saving grace for me to actually want to buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Need to Use a Lot: Poor Volume, Not for Oily Hair I bought a bottle of Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Shampoo from the Beautyheaven Rewards Room using my points, along with the matching conditioner. Volumising shampoos, especially gels like this clear, pale pink one, usually keep my oily hair clean the longest. Unfortunately, this vegan shampoo was barely as effective as an average cheapie cream shampoo. My hair was greasy by the second day whereas, my favourite shampoos last for at least three. Nor did it deliver at volumising my hair. I was not impressed by how much I had to use - the 350mL bottle went down surprisingly quickly. Not because my hair is waist-length, but because I couldn't work the shampoo through my scalp. Even with SLS as the second ingredient, there wasn't enough lather to distribute it evenly. I repeatedly needed to squeeze out more. Despite being 96% natural-origin, the watermelon scent smells fake but not unpleasant & doesn't linger in my hair. I applaud Garnier's Sustainability values, but I will not repurchase this shampoo. Made in Italy. PAO 12M. Open jar symbol shows PAO: Period After Opening that product should last, shown in months, M. I was pleasantly surprised that the ingredients list mentions each item's source! This range is supposed to be for fine hair which I have but I found that it made my hair super greasy and gave my hair a lot of product build up. NEVER AGAIN!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flavoured milk I’m sure this product is good but it concerns me that the packaging looks like flavoured milk and say hair food. My first thought when I saw this was new flavours of milk. My concern is for children thing this is a drink particularly with the word food on it. I wouldn’t have it in my house for that reason. I have used the tubs and they are great. Just think bottles look dangerous
