Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed!! This was my absolute favourite eyeliner until you changed it to the new formula and packaging! The tip is now a lot longer which makes it hard to control. The ink doesn’t seem as dark or as waterproof. The lid is flimsy and doesn’t click when you close it like the old one.....now I always freak out it’s going to leak in my makeup bag! Please bring back the old one as this is a waste of money and I won’t be buying it again. The new one seems like a cheap version of what it once was! Very disappointed in this change! Unless it’s changed back I will need to look for an alternative which is annoying as that one was perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to be excellent, but now I look like a racco I used this product for years. It was easy to use, produced an excellent line but most importantly it didn't smudge. I would always have buy a couple in advance and keep them in the drawer. Unfortunately I did this when the packaging changed, not realizing the formula had changed also. The new formula is rubbish, little specks fall into my face when i apply it and within half an hour smudges terribly all over my face. It is unwearable and I will have to throw out the eyeliners I have already bought. I was so disappointed as it used to be the best eyeliner for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both new formula and applicator tip are terrible! Hi there, I honestly used to love the old Master Precise liquid eyeliner, this new one is terrible! Not only does the liquid eyeliner bleed, but it also completely dries out by the third use! Thought perhaps it was only a one time faulty eyeliner, but same thing happened to four I had purchased. The tip is difficult to master, unlike the original Master Precise liquid eyeliner. Really disappointing considering they cost $25 each! Please, PLEASE bring back the original Master precise liquid eyeliner (the one I've attached)!

New packaging and completely different formula = whole different product that is dry, doesn’t give you a precise eyeliner wing and is totally inflexible. Maybelline need to ya revise and return to the old master precise.

I am Absolutly devistated with this new new version especially the foam tip. It dries out so quickly and will NOT give you a nice sharp point as the product only seems to want to disperse from the chunkier part of te sponge not the tip. Please take note of your consumers feedback and bring back the old version, for now I will have to move onto another brand.

I wear eyeshadow and the old Master Precise went over it beautifully. If it got a little stuck a quick wipe over a tissue and away it went again. This new one just doesn’t work on eyeshadow???? What a waste of money. I’m now on the search for old stock so that I can stock up. I am so disappointed. Don’t you test your products?

My mum used this product for years and eventually my sister and I started using it too...until the new brush!!! Absolutely awful and I’m so disappointed. I find that the product only applies when the very thickest part of the brush is on my lid making it impossible to do a thin line. I will be looking for a different brand from now on.

WHY would you change the perfect eyeliner????!!! (Clearly there’s more money to be had in this new design but guess what, it sucks, so most of us won’t be buying Maybelline eyeliner for a VERY long time - if ever again.)

Now the tip is stiff, flings everywhere and it is impossible to get a clean straight line. What are they thinking??? Please go back to your original design!!! Why fix what isn't broken????

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this for the first time but was very disappointed. The colour doesn’t come out from the pointy end, especially in the corners of the eyes. When I tested it on the back of my hand it worked, but it didn’t dispense the ink onto the smoother surface of the inner edge of the eyes. I had to actually snip off the very tip of it to get the ink to come out.

Loved the application of this, brush is great, but come mid-day, the liner has smudged onto my upper lid - and it's not even a hot day! Not good at all! I switched from another brand as I wanted to try this applicator, and I'm annoyed I did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was my go-to, new formula is awful!!!! I used the old version of this eyeliner religiously as it wad comparable to the likes of the Stila eyeliner but at 1/3 the cost. Great tip and formula was smudge proof and waterproof but easy to remove. Now the new packaging and formula is quite possibly one of the worst eyeliners. Similar to the cheap ones you can get that deserve to sit unused in an old makeup bag. Tip is a rough sponge with no ability to get a thin inconspicuous line or cat eye without looking like a drag queen. The formula itself smudges and doesn’t go the distance. So hard to remove even with eye makeup remover. God awful - need to find another eyeliner now. Moral of the story - don’t fix what isn’t broken. Won’t be Australia’s #1 eyeliner much longer. -_-

The tip is too long and big , scratches and is so hard to do a wing eye without using a cotton bud each time to correct it! It comes out too thick!!!! Why did you have to change? What consumer wished for a liquid eyeliner that doesn't go on smoothly? Please please please bring back the old liquid eyeliner

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed I’ve been using Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner for many years now and I was incredibly disappointed to find out that Maybelline had changed the original brush-style tip of the eyeliner to a sponge/felt tip one. It’s so hard to achieve a clean, sharp wing with the sponge tip, not to mention you have to press down on the tip a number of times until the ink actually comes out... Genuinely upset with the new design and really hope Maybelline takes this feedback on board and brings back the brush-style tip! Now in the process of having to look for a new liquid eyeliner..

I’ve been putting off purchasing it as I know it’s recently changed packaging as well as the products design. Im incredibly disappointed in it as it just doesn’t apply like it used to. I can barely get the liquid to actually come out of the pen and onto my skin. I loved this product because it was so quick and easy to apply and made great lines. Im incredibly heartbroken that I will not be buying this again.

I figured it was just the packaging that had changed but they've completely changed the product. The brush tip which made small lines so easy has been changed to a spongy felt tip that just leaves a big black glob and isn't fine enough to taper out the wing. Used this for a week and threw out - what a waste. Such a disappointment Maybelline... now I'll have to shop around for a whole new product and brand.

This was my favourite liquid liner but the new formula doesn’t work for me. The new tip is dryer and not as soft as the old one. Clean precise lines are no longer possible and the new formula gives me the worst panda eyes at the end of the day. Maybelline please listen to your customers and bring back the old formula and liner. Unfortunately you’ve lost a loyal liquid liner customer and based on recent reviews I’m not the only one who will now have to search for another brand.

This new formula goes on patchy and the brush is so inferior to the old one. Customer feedback for the old eyeliner was fantastic. Why mess with something that was loved by so many people. Worst decision ever. BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION PLEASE!!!

I have been buying this eyeliner for many years and have always stayed so loyal to it, but now it’s changed to a new terrible design that isn’t soft on the eyes and the tip is much larger and harder to create an accurate wing. I feel like I’m drawing with a sharpie on my eyelid with this new design. Why would you fix something that wasn’t broken in the first place? now this eyeliner is just like any other cheap, bad quality eyeliner that you can find everywhere.

Your new eyeliner wears off in the corners after a few hours, the pen is too long, the cap keeps coming off, the formula is not as good and the pen itself scratches the eyelid. Please please please bring back the old one... otherwise, I like many others, will look elsewhere out of the Maybelline range:

I cannot tell you how sad and devastated I was to see that this product has been changed, it was the ONLY liner on the whole market that was like it with a smooth and soft tip. Maybelline you need to listen to your consumers and go back to the old formula and style it was amazing!! This new product is beyond disappointing and you will lose a huge amount of customers and their money!! Someone will be fired over this because of the loss of profits. Please bring it back :(

The redesign of this product means that I am now on the hunt for a new brand because it is now awful! It used to last all day and go on so smoothly. Now it smudges on the corners which means your wing lasts no time at all. It is dry and spongy and does not apply easily. An all around disappointing product now.
