Directions

Apply morning and evening to face, neck and eye contour. Gently squeeze the tube to obtain the desired amount. After use and before closing, remove any excess product around the tube opening. If this product is sealed, please ensure the seal is intact prior to using the product.

I have sensitive, fair skin that is prone to redness, especially when using supermarket moisturisers full of nasties, so this pharmaceutical 'Tolerance' range is great for my skin. I only use a pea sized amount and it reduces redness, calms inflammation and gently moisturises. I use it after the Avène Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser for the best results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Rapid Active Skin Rescuer I am so super excited I have found this recovery balm, especially coming into the summer months when my skin is irritated the most. Since using this product within a few days my skin is glowing, it’s non greasy and so easy to apply and a small amount goes a long way. I like to use this after I have cleansed with the Tolerance Control Cleanser. It really has calmed my skin and the dryness and redness have disappeared. My husband has also been using the balm as he is prone to rashes and flaky skin from shaving and he has found the flakiness on his skins almost gone after a week applying.

The fragrance free formula is perfect for my sensitive skin that can flare up in the warmer weather. Highly recommend this product for anyone with dry skin concerns and or reactivity/redness. While nothing will replace my Avene Cicalfate barrier cream, this comes very close, with the added benefit of being translucent and rubbing in really well. Extremely hydrating, and really gentle. I am so impressed with this balm and how quickly it calmed my skin down.

I often have either very dry or very oily skin no in-between but after using this moisturiser for a few weeks daily I’ve gained the perfect balance. Would definitely recommend if you’re struggling to find a moisturiser for sensitive skin especially!

I have been using it every morning and it has completely calmed my skin. My skin has stayed hydrated all day - it feels really nourishing but it's also rich so there is no shininess. This balm is hydrating and moisturising at the same time. It stopped my makeup being "eaten" by my pores and removed flakes. I especially like the hygienic pump which allows you to half press and get the right amount. Definitely recommend it for dry, dehydrated or reactive skin.

Use it overnight and wake up with lovely soft and hydrated skin. I use it following the tolerance extremely gentle cleanser, they are a great match.

My skin gets irritated and is very dry usually and this stuff works wonders. It sits well with all my serums, sunscreen and even under a full face of makeup. When I go a little too hard with my acids/retinol I find this aids in soothing the irritation quickly which is a godsend. this It's a wonderful addition to my spring/summer skincare, I don't think it's heavy enough for me in winter but it's a new summer staple for sure!

This was gentle enough for me to use without flaring up my face. The only thing I would suggest is to use it at night as it’s quite sticky, I wasn’t able to apply makeup over the top of it.

However I know it'll be nice in summer too as it doesn't leave my skin oily or irritated. Bonus that it's unscented. Great go-to to make sure my skin doesn't break out.

I had wrinkles under my eyes and forehead so I applied the cream every morning and night. It really reduced the depth of the wrinkles. It really works!

It’s really helped to calm the redness in my skin since I’ve been using it too and I feel confident wearing less make up now. Will definitely purchase again and highly recommend.

It has been wonderful in soothing & hydrating the skin and encouraging healing. I've noticed that the recovery balm has also helped to reduce the dark spots/scarring that I get when I have a cut, which is awesome! The formula itself is thick, and gentle which makes it suitable for all parts of the body and for those with sensitive skin. One down-side is that its price range is on the higher end.

Have ordered the Balm but have received the tube that has same name except last word is "cream". Tube pump mechanism is really good and hygienic. Cream lightweight. It is so soothing and feels quenching. I have used moisturizers from Avene before and this one is really good too! I use acids and retinols o a regular basis. My skin is in need of soothing and hydrating products. This formula is so simple but so good to soothe and hydrate. Not feeling greasy or looking shiny on my combo to oily skin. Love that makes my skin look healthy and does not sting my eyes as I do apply it all over (my eye and lip areas too). Cream is great for irritated sensitive skin or just skin in need of something lightweight but hydrating and quenching.
