It reduces skin reactivity to external environmental factors and provides protection by helping to restore the hydrolipidic barrier. The gel lotion texture adapted for all skin types, leaves the skin feeling clean and comfortable, without any tightness. Avène Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser is rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water, which softens and soothes dry skin. Further it also contains D-SensinoseTM (a patented postbiotic ingredient derived from Avène Thermal Spring Water) to help soothe and ultra-calm hypersensitive skin. Directions

Apply morning and/or night to the face, eyes and lips with a cotton pad or directly with the fingertips. Tissue off gently without rubbing. If required use Avène Thermal Spring Water to rinse off. Suitable for use in children (aged 2 years and up) and adults.

Very gentle and skin doesn't feel stripped of moisturise after use like some other cream cleansers. I didn't understand the no rinse though! I needed to rinse with water to remove my light daily makeup otherwise it doesn't feel properly cleansed,,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle skin cleanser I love the cooling gel formula of this cleanser. the wipe off formula is great for removing makeup without irritating your skin. It is fragrance free and leaves your skin really soft and fresh. It is a non rinsing formula so great for the convenience when you just want to cleanse your face and too tired to wash your face in the bathroom. I like to use it with a reusable makeup remover pad. I also love using this a day or two after my skin needling sessions. As skin needling leaves my skin little raw and sensitive, this formula helps because it is gentle and does not sting my face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a lovely gentle cleanser I really enjoyed the experience of using this, it's completely fragrance free and works wonders to soothe my dry irritated skin. It's a really nice consistency and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight after use in comparison to other brands. The ingredients list is so small which is a refreshing point of difference! It does state that it removes make up, but it didn't really do the best job at this. I found myself having to cleanse multiple times, or use a different cleanser to get all my make up off which is slightly disappointing. So I used it on no make up days to avoid this

My skin feels refreshed without the tightness that you feel from other products,and removes my mascara and eye liner very easily. I would recommend this for sure,

As a makeup artist, I’ll definitely be adding this to my kit to cleanse my clients faces, in complete faith there is no possibility of reaction. Although the directions were to not rinse, for use on myself, I definitely felt the need to rinse off. This is a great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good cleanser I have been using this product in the mornings as a refresher before makeup which I like but I find when I use it at night it doesn’t remove all of my makeup as efficiently as I like but I do wear pretty heavy makeup on a daily basis. I also do rinse with water as I don’t like keeping the product on my face without rinsing.

I find I need something a little harsher now and then. I would therefore use this for non makeup wearing days

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle Cleanser Perfect for Sensitive Skin I received this product as part of a promotion and it's an extremely gentle cleanser for sensitive skin. Since it's very gentle, it doesn't foam unlike other cleansers and the instructions say it's a no-rinse formula. I prefer to wash my face in the shower so I used it like a normal cleanser - lathered and then rinsed. I never tried this water-free with just a cotton pad and then wiping the cleanser off. I found after using the cleanser, my face wasn't as red and flushed as it normally is which is good. I think it really lives up to its feature of being extremely gentle. I don't know if this cleanser would be good at removing any foundation on the face though. I feel it would be too gentle and a cleanser with make-up removing properties would be better suited. After using this cleanser for over a week, I personally wouldn't buy it as I don't require a cleanser that's this gentle but would recommend it if someone has sensitive and irritable skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sorry not a fan :-( Whilst I love the Avene products I am not a fan of the Avene Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser. Like all of these types of cleanser I felt like it left a film on my face and I had to use a cleanser that I could wash off.
