The razor gave a really close shave without the need to press too hard and risk getting cut, leaving me feeling smooth. I don't think the moisture ribbon drastically improved the glide, rather without any shaving gel it felt a bit dry. I would have appreciated a bit wider razor blade area, as it felt like I had to do more strokes to shave the same area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Razor [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally I use a wet/dry electric razor to shave my legs. It doesn’t keep the stubble away for long but it is so much easier to just run it over my legs before running out the door. I only ever use a normal razor for under my arms. When I received the Venus razor, I was only going to try it on my underarms. It was so much smoother than the razors I normally use. I didn’t feel like I was going to slice my arms open with each stroke and after they were so soft and smooth. The Venus razor came with 2 razor heads, so my daughter tried out the second one. She used it on her legs and said that it was the best she’d used. She loved how easily it glided over her leg, taking the hair with it. She wasn’t scared of cutting herself and after, she said her legs were so smooth and silky. I’d say there is a likely hood that we will be buying this product in the future and I may even switch from my old electric razor.

One glide and the patch was smooth. I didn't have to go over and over. Not sure if its just me?? But up and down motions were great but I got a few nicks if I used it left to right. I found the heavier weight and design of the razor handle is great, there was no dropping it from being too soapy, it was great to handle.

I have had other razors that don't sit well in my hand, but this had a nice shape to grip. It was easy to use and provided a nice shave that left my skin smooth and meant that I didn't have that stubble feeling that some other razors give. It is a nice, attractive razors that works extremely well!

The inbuilt gel thing means that you don't need to have a shaving cream and the extra blades did actually seem to give a closer shave. It was nice and sharp and I did not get any cuts using it. It glides over the skin smoothly. I did not experience shaving rash, or any bumps or redness of any kind, so that was lovely. I felt however that the blades were a little too short for my liking, and clogged easily, requiring a little more effort to clean out despite having short-ish hair. Overall I would say if you have finer hair or only using it for touch ups it would be great.

The handle was easy to grip and I also like the fact that the one handle fits most of the Venus blades, also it was very easy to attach the blade to the handle. I would recommend this razor and shall be replacing my previous brand with this.

Even though the razor has a perfectly designed rubber grip handle & perfect swivel action, to make shaving cream easier, I found that the 5 blades were no match to my thick/ coarse hair. I tested shaving both leg & underarm hair & had the same outcome. My skin was not smooth to the touch directly after shaving , & actually felt as if I had already started growing stubble (which usually only occurs a few days after a shave). I tried again on the third day for a maintenance shave & found the results to be the same. Disappointingly, the blades do not seem to be designed for thick/course hair & would probably work better on those who have fine hair

However I found it didn't give as close a shave as a razor without the strips. It's also quite cold to hold in winter!

That's pretty much it though, because the blades get really dull after a short amount of time even when there's still soap on it. I end up having to go over my legs repeatedly and it still misses hairs.
