Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Works.. This mask is hydrating. It works, it leaves my hair feeling moisturised and healthy. However, I couldn't stand the smell. I love watermelon, but this just smelt like a fake chemical watermelon smell to me unfortunately. If you can get past that, its a great product. I just don't think I'd use it again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Underwhelming Gave this one a go after using the banana one and enjoying it. I found the watermelon variety underwhelming. The smell was sickly sweet and definitely that fake watermelon smell so I didn't enjoy that. Putting aside the smell, I used the full amount over a few weeks and didn't feel that my hair had any more volume and my hair was quite dry. I definitely wouldn't purchase this product again. However, if you had really oily hair, this might be a good option. Branding is great like always, bright, fun colourful on the shelf.

If that's not the kind of thing you're into then I wouldn't recommend this particular scent. My hair is straight and fine, so I usually err on the side of caution when applying products as it tends to make my hair look oily and lifeless. This was no exception, no matter how I applied. The best was using it as a conditioner and washing out afterwards, but I still felt like my hair looked oilier than usual when it dried. Might be better for thicker hair that needs moisture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lovely Watermelon Scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate to get on the trial team for the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Treatment. The product smells great, and the scent is strong enough that it lingers after you've washed it off. Although it smells great, I only gave this product 2 stars as I didn't like that it came in a tub, as I used it as a conditioner so it was hard to use the product in the shower without getting water in the tub. I also found the product left a bit of a residue on my hair after use, however I must acknowledge that I experience this issue with allot of hair products, and use a clarifying shampoo to rectify this issue. As such, I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a strong scented hair conditioner, who doesn't mind the tub container, and for those who don't experience issues with product build up on their hair.

I found the smell pleasant but not overwhelming and the texture of the product was nice. I didn’t enjoy the product or results. I used it as a conditioner and had to rewash my hair as it left it feeling dry and knotty. I also tried it as a mask and had a similar issue. I didn’t notice any bounce or volume. My hair felt knotty and somewhat dry after use. Overall not a product I’d recommend but it smells nice. My husband used it too and really liked the smell.

I also love that it is 97% natural origin and that that is displayed very clearly, it means i don't have to worry about ingredients that are nasty or damaging. I did read and compare the ingredients from this treatment to the watermelon hair food conditioner and they are almost identical ingredients. So it is basically conditioner. and so my hair didn't feel or look any different using this product to if I wasn't. I did try using it in the three different ways and wasn't impressed. There isn't any noticeable volume. It's not a treatment!

I tried to give it another try but it still gave me the same trashy result. product is horrible and would never recommend it to ANYONE

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst conditioner I’ve ever used I started using this about a month ago on my fine, coloured (not bleached) hair. Already after one use my hair felt dirty and heavy, not voluminous at all. I tried using it differently, washed it off more thoroughly etc. but nothing seemed to work. My hair ended up knotty, heavy, damaged and I cut 15cm off to save my hair. Would definitely not recommend to anyone. The smell is also really strong and overwhelming.
