Why is my Water Flosser leaking?
When used correctly Colgate Blast Water Flosser will not leak. Before you turn on your Water Flosser check the following:
1. The nozzle is fully inserted into the water flosser unit and sits flush against the top of your water flosser unit
2. The nozzle "clicked" when inserted.
3. The nozzle cannot be pulled out without the release button being pressed simultaneously.
4. Now you are ready to go - Happy Water Flossing!


How to Water Floss like a Pro
If you're new to using a water flosser here are some helpful tips. Place the nozzle tip in your mouth and purse your lips around it before you turn your water flosser on. Position yourself above the sink and lean forward so any extra water can flow out of your mouth and into the sink. If you prefer you can also use Colgate Blast in the shower as it is water resistant.


Can I put mouthwash in my Water Flosser?
Yes! You can fill the water tank with cold or warm water (up to 40C) or mouthwash. After use, drain and rinse out the water tank so your Colgate Blast Water Flosser is ready for its next use.


What pressure settings should I use?
Colgate Blast Water Flosser comes with 3 pressure settings: Gentle (low pressure mode), Regular (regular pressure mode for daily cleaning), Pulse (pulsation pattern for gum massaging). We recommend new users start with Gentle which is also the default setting. TIP: Colgate Blast Water Flosser will switch back on in the last pressure setting used.



How do I charge my Water Flosser?
Ensure power is turned OFF and the water tank is empty. Insert the USB charging cord into the charging port and attach the USB end to a power adaptor. Plug this into an outlet. When charging, the indicator light flashes green. The flashing stops once the device is fully charged. The indicator light will flash red when the battery is low.



Can I use my Water Flosser while it's charging?
No. Your Colgate Blast Water Flosser should be turned off and the water tank emptied while the device is charging.


How do I fill my Water Flosser?
Open the water tank, then pull the tank down to the marked line. Lay the flosser flat, face the opening towards the faucet and fill with either cold/lukewarm water or mouthwash. After filling the tank, close the cover firmly and dry off any excess water. TIP: Do not push the tank back into the water flosser body when it is filled.



How do I insert/remove the nozzle?
Remove the nozzle from the package and insert it into the nozzle jack at the top of your device until it clicks into place. A correctly inserted nozzle will sit flush against the top of the water flosser. To remove the nozzle, press and hold the eject button on the side of your device and gently pull the nozzle upwards. To store, place the nozzle in the storage compartment accessible at the top of your Colgate Blast Water Flosser.

Using the Water Flosser:
Place the nozzle into your mouth before turning the device on.
Align the nozzle against your teeth and gum line.
Work the nozzle along the gumline, paying special attention to the area between teeth and around braces.
While flossing, open your mouth slightly to avoid water splashing.
Keep the flosser upright during use to prevent the tube in the tank from restricting water flow.
The water tank should allow for up to 60 seconds of flossing depending on the mode. Refill water tank as needed to floss between all teeth to complete your flossing session. Blast can be used with mouthwash or dentist's recommended solution (do not swallow), but after use, wash the device thoroughly.

Directions

Filling the Water Tank:
1. Open the water tank cover, then pull the tank down to the marked line
2. Lay the flosser flat, face the opening towards the faucet and fill with cold or warm water or with mouthwash. You may use warm water up to 40C/104F.
3. After filling the tank with water close the cover firmly, and dry off any excess liquid.
Note: ensure that the tank cover is open before extending the device to open the water tank.

3. Work the nozzle along the gumline, paying special attention to the area between teeth and around braces.

6. The water tank should allow for at least 50 seconds of flossing depending on the mode. Refill water tank as needed to floss between all teeth to complete your flossing session.

I do like the reusable side of it, but practically it's a no. To use it, you need to be near a sink or somewhere where you can spit the water out. It's hard to get specific spots as water shoots out every which way if you have your mouth open a little bit. I couldnt floss the inside of my teeth as the device has to be upright to be used, which is the area I really need to concentrate on when flossing. It's quite large and not as travel or out and about friendly as string floss. It just cant beat the traditional string floss for me.

The main thing I don't like about this item is that when you turn it on and have chosen your setting it just goes non stop till your water chamber is empty, and I find that if you turn it on before putting the item in your mouth it tends to shoot you in the face, where as when I have used a different brand waterflosser, it works at the press of a button, instead of turning on automatically. however if colgate were to come up with a better model with better mode settings I would give it another go providing it works different to this model.

There is a buzzing sound so I can hear the motor trying to work but no water comes through. Given how much money I spent on it, I'm very disappointed.

I was really excited for a water flosser - less waste, thought it might feel nicer... I found the device hurt my gums even on the gentle setting. I also found I had to refill the tank 3-4 times to even get close to having cleaner teeth. It was very inconveninet. I still had to use dental floss afterwards to get my teeth properly cleaned. There seems to be no way to use the device without spraying water everywhere - I could only use it in the shower, which meant trying to refil the tank from the shower head multiple times and having a longer shower. Had to recharge every 3-4 days too, which feels very frequent given it is used for maybe 10 minutes day. The only real benefit is it's easier to target teeth in the back parts of the mouth, but I'd rather fiddle with dental floss and spend an extra few minuteas and not have to recharge, refill the tank, make a mess everywhere...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst battery Very short battery life, about 3 to 4 days using it twice a day on the highest setting. Couldn't get a refund so sacrificed the product by disassembling it. Found out it runs off three 1200mah 1.2v NiMH batteries in series to produce 3.6v. NiMH is a poor battery choice and 1200mah is very low capacity. A cheaper Xiaomi flosser I had uses a 2200mah lithium battery and would last over a week. I'm amazed to see such a poor battery choice in such an expensive product.

Had a Xiaomi brand water flosser before this that I would only have to charge once every two weeks. No provision for a refund through the retailer or through Colgate as the product is technically not faulty. Pressure is good but flow rate is slow. Don't waste your money.

But then after 14 months it just stopped working. Contacted Colgate, as it has a 2 year warranty but they make it too hard to sort out.

It will move food around your teeth but does not floss at all. The water also runs out quite fast. Would not recommend this product at all.

And then the motor would randomly turn on in the middle of the night, or in the middle of the day. Huge let down as the product improved my gum health immensely. Have switched to another brand.
