Why is my Water Flosser leaking?
When used correctly Colgate Blast Water Flosser will not leak. Before you turn on your Water Flosser check the following:
1. The nozzle is fully inserted into the water flosser unit and sits flush against the top of your water flosser unit
2. The nozzle "clicked" when inserted.
3. The nozzle cannot be pulled out without the release button being pressed simultaneously.
4. Now you are ready to go - Happy Water Flossing!

How to Water Floss like a Pro
If you're new to using a water flosser here are some helpful tips. Place the nozzle tip in your mouth and purse your lips around it before you turn your water flosser on. Position yourself above the sink and lean forward so any extra water can flow out of your mouth and into the sink. If you prefer you can also use Colgate Blast in the shower as it is water resistant.

Can I put mouthwash in my Water Flosser?
Yes! You can fill the water tank with cold or warm water (up to 40C) or mouthwash. After use, drain and rinse out the water tank so your Colgate Blast Water Flosser is ready for its next use.

What pressure settings should I use?
Colgate Blast Water Flosser comes with 3 pressure settings: Gentle (low pressure mode), Regular (regular pressure mode for daily cleaning), Pulse (pulsation pattern for gum massaging). We recommend new users start with Gentle which is also the default setting. TIP: Colgate Blast Water Flosser will switch back on in the last pressure setting used.

How do I charge my Water Flosser?
Ensure power is turned OFF and the water tank is empty. Insert the USB charging cord into the charging port and attach the USB end to a power adaptor. Plug this into an outlet. When charging, the indicator light flashes green. The flashing stops once the device is fully charged. The indicator light will flash red when the battery is low.

Can I use my Water Flosser while it's charging?
No. Your Colgate Blast Water Flosser should be turned off and the water tank emptied while the device is charging.

How do I fill my Water Flosser?
Open the water tank, then pull the tank down to the marked line. Lay the flosser flat, face the opening towards the faucet and fill with either cold/lukewarm water or mouthwash. After filling the tank, close the cover firmly and dry off any excess water. TIP: Do not push the tank back into the water flosser body when it is filled.

How do I insert/remove the nozzle?
Remove the nozzle from the package and insert it into the nozzle jack at the top of your device until it clicks into place. A correctly inserted nozzle will sit flush against the top of the water flosser. To remove the nozzle, press and hold the eject button on the side of your device and gently pull the nozzle upwards. To store, place the nozzle in the storage compartment accessible at the top of your Colgate Blast Water Flosser.

Using the Water Flosser:
Place the nozzle into your mouth before turning the device on.
Align the nozzle against your teeth and gum line.
Work the nozzle along the gumline, paying special attention to the area between teeth and around braces.
While flossing, open your mouth slightly to avoid water splashing.
Keep the flosser upright during use to prevent the tube in the tank from restricting water flow.
The water tank should allow for up to 60 seconds of flossing depending on the mode. Refill water tank as needed to floss between all teeth to complete your flossing session. Blast can be used with mouthwash or dentist's recommended solution (do not swallow), but after use, wash the device thoroughly.

Directions

Filling the Water Tank:
1. Open the water tank cover, then pull the tank down to the marked line
2. Lay the flosser flat, face the opening towards the faucet and fill with cold or warm water or with mouthwash. You may use warm water up to 40C/104F.
3. After filling the tank with water close the cover firmly, and dry off any excess liquid.
Note: ensure that the tank cover is open before extending the device to open the water tank.

Using the Water Flosser:
1. Place the nozzle into your mouth before turning the device on.
2. Align the nozzle against your teeth and gum line.
3. Work the nozzle along the gumline, paying special attention to the area between teeth and around braces.
4. While flossing, open your mouth slightly to avoid water splashing.

6. The water tank should allow for at least 50 seconds of flossing depending on the mode. Refill water tank as needed to floss between all teeth to complete your flossing session.

The waterflosser has good pressure to clean between the teeth and to not hurt the gums as much as other products I have used in the past. However, I did not like the design of the on/off button and the mode select button. The buttons are too small and close together. I often mixed up these buttons while I am flossing as I cant see these buttons and can only press these by feel. Would recommend these buttons and spaced further apart and a bit bigger.

It does have one really big draw back which has it loosing two whole stars; the nozzle moves freely and changes directions while in use. It is great that the nozzle can change directions, but ideally the nozzle clicks into fixed positions on its base. The nozzle moving freely while in use is frustrating as it makes aiming the blasts of water between teeth challenging and results in accidental blasts to the soft tissue under your tongue, ouch.

In my opinion the product is not for everyone as I thought it didn’t have enough pressure to do a thorough clean. The product is great to carry when travelling on the other hand but I have decided it’s something that I won’t be taking when I travel. The nozzle fits in the mouth easily and clicks into place on the base of the product snuggly. The first problem I encountered with this product was getting the shield down to access the bottons to turn it on and change setting. i found it stiff and it just didnt move smoothly at all. once i had struggled to get the other shield down then I turned it on. it took a while to find which setting would work best for me. i found the water blasting to be ver aggresive and not smooth. its sort of jerky. I found the general product was hard to use and found i was concentrating on how to use it instead of actually flossing my teeth. quite off putting

Rated 3 out of 5 by energie9 from gentle floss made easy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] a device you need to get used to, it generates a lot of water in your mouth very quickly. it was a mess on the first use, water is just every where lol, but thats something you can get used to after few uses. the water pressure is not as strong as expected, not sure how much its cleaned out between my teeth. the power button is located in an odd place, can't switch off the device once the water tank closed up the button, you have to wait for all the water to finish. I like the compact design and nozzle storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very curious about this new product that enables you to essentially floss with water. It takes some getting used to as it you need to operate it with your mouth closed over a sink and expell excess water intermittently. Whilst it certainly does the job, (the water does shoot right through the gaps in your teeth) I don't find it as effective as normal flossing with floss picks. I use floss picks after using the water flosser each day and still get some more food particals out. However, if you struggle to motivate yourself to floss the old fashioned way, this could be seen as an "easier" or "fun" way to floss as it doesn't involve as much manual labour, and flossing regardless of method is better than not flossing at all!

If you have sensitive gums make sure to only use gentle cause its quite powerful, I like that you can get to the back of those teeth at the top just not sure how effective it really is. I always felt like I could still feel food in-between my teeth, not sure really if I would personally buy this product

In the shower was great but outside the shower it took a bit to get use to. It cleaned between my teeth relatively good but i did get a piece of food stuck in a gap and i attempted to use the water flosser to remove it but had no luck and reverted to good old fashion colgate wax floss tape. Overall it was fun to use but i did find my gums felt very sensitive to the high pressure water

Also it was quite hard to keep water in the mouth, and if i opened my mouth water splashed everywhere. I am interested to know what it was sell for. I imagine it wouldn't be cheap. If i had outlaid money, i feel i would be disappointed with my purchase.

After each use of this product I proceeded to floss normally to see what residue was left behind but it was always minimal. Initially my biggest complaint was the mess. After my first use I had water all over my basin and mirror. The second time a little less, then I got the hang of it. The biggest drawback for me was that I still can’t seem to look at myself in the mirror and use that as a guide to floss, it has to be done by feel.

I loved the concept of this product but found that I kept spraying my roof with the device when trying to find the off button or I ended up changing the floss setting. I think I that this product would work so much better if it was a trigger action so as soon as you take your thumb off the button it stopped flossing, Rather that having to find the button and push it to turn it off. It certainly has a good amount of pressure coming out of it. I was able to get the cobwebs in the corner if the roof down without even meaning too. This device has enough spray in it to keep your neighbours cat away. this device takes a bit to get used to it now I just floss out the back instead of inside incase I forget to turn it off and pull it out of my mouth.
