Directions

Remove Micellar Reusable Eco Pads from box and wash thoroughly with soap & water before first use. Saturate the Reusable Eco Pad with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and gently swipe eye, face and lip areas. Continue until make-up is removed and skin is cleansed. To clean your Micellar Reusable Eco Pads: Hand wash with soap and water after each use. For a deeper clean, toss into the washing machine with your laundry once a week (do not use fabric softener). Lay flat to dry.

The pad is a decent size to spread all over your face. I like the pad that has one side a light pink colour and the other white. The first thing I noticed when I got it out of the packet was how incredibly soft it was. I felt that the wipe soaked up the product a little too well as it got lost in the wipe. The biggest problem with this product was it was hard to wipe with one side because it has a sewn second side. So the pad moved around and was hard to wipe the face with. I didn't find it effective and ended up using a cotton pad to remove the rest of the make up it left behind.

I really love the concept of this product, as overall it has a good environmental impact, swapping for single use items as well as overall ecomonic impacts, as good quality make up pads can add up over time, especially if used for removing make up daily. I found however that they needed a LOT of micellar water to cover the pad, so much more than normally does the job to work effectively. I also found them hard to wash and did not keep their shape in the washing machine well. They did however feel soft against my skin and ultimately did take off my make up.

When I pulled them out they felt so soft and I was very excited to use them. The problem I had with them was that they were not absorbent and when I poured the Miceller water on to the pad, it rolled straight of the pad and onto the bench. I also found them a little too thin for me. I do love that they are reusable and if you pour the micellar water slow enough it will absorb rather than roll off. Overall I would recommend as they are a better alternative to disposable pads.

They are very poorly made and you can feel the lack of quality. I would definitely opt for a face halo over these flimsy failures sadly. Nice try Garnier

Rated 2 out of 5 by Petal from Great concept but there's room for improvement I applaud Garnier for creating their Micellar Reusable Eco Pads for their environmental benefits, but I think that they could be improved. The pads are about nine centimetres across and they felt soft on my skin. I had difficulty with the pads because they bunched up when I used them, and they still bunched up when I folded them in half. I can see possible ways to improve the pads such as including some padding inside to make them firmer, making the pads smaller, including some stitching on them or using a different type of microfibre material. On the positive side, the pads were easy to clean by washing them in the washing machine.

I found that I needed to add a lot of micellar water to make the pad damp and then it was too wet to rub on my face. I then had to squeeze it out which meant that the micellar water was wasted. I think this product would be better suited to applying toner instead. I will keep this product to use with toner but I don’t think I will try using them for makeup removal again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by shakira l. from Good concept but not enough [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Garnier Reusable Eco pads are a okay purchase to use when you are going away overnight or for a few nights - camping etc and then when you get home you can chuck them in the wash alongside your towels and clothes. But! be wary if you use waterproof mascara as the product will not completely come off the pads. Both sides of the pads feel exactly the same - (it would be really handy to have one side be more abrasive so you could use it to exfoliate your skin also) and they are relatively thin so both sides get damp which can just drip down your arm as you are wiping your face. I own a similar product that is supposed to be used the exact same way and it works waaay better and does a better job - I would just use this product instead when they are in the wash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Minela S. from Love the concept but it needs some work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the concept behind this product, eco friendly to reduce household waste, reusable upto 100 washes and 3 pads in a packet is great for a weekly cycle however they aren’t as effective in removing makeup as the small cotton pads are, unfortunately. I feel that the Micellar Water is soaked up in these pads and being so soft it doesn’t effectively take the makeup off, if anything smudges it around. If it was a little rougher in material, like a towel material perhaps it would work better in taking off the makeup with Garnier Micellar Water. Again, love the concept behind it but needs some work.

I also found that the pad stretches out of shape after just one use. I found that after I finished taking my makeup off I needed to use another product to ensure all the makeup was off my face. The only upside is that its good for the environment and better than one-use makeup pads. I will give it a few more goes however I can't see my mind being changed. During the week I don't wear heavy makeup so I was a bit shocked when I saw that I really had to put a huge effort in to take it off. It doesn't work well for Mascara either.

Before using these, I actually use the Halo makeup remover pads which I love so I was excited to see there is a cheaper alternative. However, I was quite disappointed. In the pack you get 3 pads and i also got the micellar water to use it. The pads feels very soft which was nice. The pack says to put some of the micellar water on the pads and use it to remove make up. As soon as I put the micellar water the pads absorbs a lot of the liquid so I found myself needing to use lots of the micellar water. The annoying part is when I start using the pads to remove my make up because of the way it's made where one side was sewan to the other side just around the edges with nothing in the middle, it moved around and it was so hard to wipe the face with. I found it frustrating and it was not effective in removing my make up. After attempting to use these twice I gave up and went back to my halo pads which I don't even need to use a makeup remover with, just water.
