What is retinol?
Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that helps stimulate skin cell turnover, which decreases with age. Retinol can refine and resurface the skin to improve the appearance of wrinkles, texture, and uneven tone. 

How to use retinol?
Pure Retinol is a potent ingredient, your skin will need time to adjust. Introduce gradually. Week 1: Apply Pure Retinol 2 nights a week before Hydra Genius. Week 2: use every other night. Week 3: use nightly as tolerated. Follow with SPF in AM.

Can Retinol be used by all skin types or ages?

"Your skin will need time to get used to Retinol. It is recommended to introduce gradually. Apply 3-4 drops to clean, dry skin in the evening before Revitalift Laser Night Moisturiser. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 the morning after.

Product comes with a very easy to use dropper, used at night after my shower, I used the serum sparingly on my face over the course of the month and I am thrilled that I found that it brightened my skin and I felt it plumped up my deep wrinkles. My skin has more elasticity than previously and also the texture has noticeably changed with my pores becoming finer and looking less noticeable. I Would recommend this product to friends and family and I will purchase when I run out. Little goes a long way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective, but allow your skin to adjust [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am relatively new to the retinol game, having only tried it for the first time last year, but my intro to this anti-aging world meant I weas really excited to try the L’oreal Retinol Night Serum. It came with a warning that, even if you currently use retinol, to introduce this gently to the skin and I am very glad I did. I started with twice a week and for the first 2 weeks I noticed my skin struggle with it a bit. Nothing major, but a texture that wasn’t ideal, some redness etc. However, by the third week I was using it every second day and my skin has settled into the product nicely, no longer causing those side effects, but smoothing out instead and allowing a nice glow to come through. The dropper applicator makes it super-easy and the serum absorbed into my skin straight away. I tried to allow a few minutes from retinol to other skincare and notice a better effect the days I do that.

Very eye catching product packaging in metallic purple red. It's in a dark blue glass bottle with a dropper. This product contain 0.2% pure Retinol. Just like the instruction skin need time to get used to the powerful ingredients. So it's the best to introduce it gradually which I have done. Each time I use 3 to 4 drops of it and follow up with moisturiser. The first week I use 2 nights per week, week 2 every other night and week 3 onwards I use it nightly. Love that this Serum its light in consistency. It makes my skin feel comfortable without sticky feeling like some Serum which I've used before. I've notice difference on my skin especially fine lines is which lighter in appearance. I think the hyaluronic acid and natural oils play a big part in this to help my skin feel plump and soft. By the time I use it on the third week I can see the difference on my deep wrinkle which means it's working and I love this Serum. The fragrance its quite strong but slowly fade a way after a while so it does not really bother me. Will continue to use this product till the end of the bottle and can't wait for the final result of better skin. I make sure to sun screen whenever I use this product. Recommend it to anyone who have fines lines and wrinkles as I am happy with the result I've seen so far.

I loved the thick milky colour and how the dropper dispersed the perfect amount. I have been using it for around four weeks now at nighttime before my moisturiser and I have noticed a difference in the quality of my skin. My skin is softer and the fine lines around my temples appear minimised. The discolouration on my cheeks is less noticeable too. I would have liked my forehad lines to be less noticeable but I think they are too deep. will be continuing to use this product.

While at 37 I don’t have too many wrinkles but did notice on the fine ones that I do have that this serum definitely made a difference and I noticed the fine lines start to disappear. The product is easy to use and not stick as some others can be. Only problem I have is with retinol your required to wear sunscreen the next day which I find a pain even though I am meant to wear sunscreen I never do. So had to keep remembering to apply sunscreen the next day. Other than that would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try it out!

It is not an oil, but a milky gel kind of watery texture that absorbs very quickly onto the skin, with a light pleasant fragrance. This fragrance is the most appealing one out of all the other retinol products I've tried. 3 drops is sufficient for the entire face so the bottle should last a while. The box contains very detailed instructions on how often to use the drops in the first 3 weeks. However, there is so much information on the box that I often find it difficult to relocate it. It is also difficult to gauge how much product is in the bottle. Overall, i think there are lpts of room for improvement on the packaging. However, my skin felt immediately moisturised upon application and the hydration lasted on the skin which is unlike serums as they tends to dry out or leave behind a stickiness on the face. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a retinol product to smooth find lines and fight anti ageing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective night serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser Pure Retinol Night Serum left my skin smoother and softer after using it for the past 4.5 weeks. The serum comes in a quality dark blue glass bottle, with a dropper for easy dispensing. White and milky in consistency, the serum absorbs well into my skin, and has a pleasant fragrance which I liked. I followed the instructions on the box to just use the serum two nights in the first week, then step up to every second night in the second week, and more frequently in the third week. I'm glad I did this gentle introduction, as I had some skin peeling and sensitivity in the first week. As my skin peeled gently, it left fresh new skin, improving the texture of my skin. The peeling stopped in the first two weeks. As I continued to use the night serum over 4.5 weeks, my skin became softer and smoother, and my pigment spots from sun damage are fading - I'm keen to see how much they can fade with continued use! The wrinkles on my forehead also look reduced. I'll definitely keep using this night serum to see how it impacts my wrinkles and sun damage pigment spots. (I also used a strong sunscreen (SPF 50+) during the day when using this serum, as recommended.) Another great product from L'Oreal Revitalift!

I have used prescription retinoids and tried other retinols in the past but this one is very easy to use, is gentle and you see immediate results! I am really happy with how it works and how my skin looks. It has perfected my pores and smoothed out any lines and wrinkles and my skin is glowing and smooth. I used it a few times per week as my skin already has a tolerance for retinol. It did make my skin peel a little and sensitive to the sun even whilst putting on sunscreen that morning and going for a lunchtime walk. No other side effects noted. If you haven't used retinol before please make sure to always put sunscreen on while using and don't put too much on too soon. Less is more! I like the consistency and it's easy to apply, not a big fan of the fragrance though as it's retinol feel like this should be fragrance free

My skin tolerated the cream with no reactions. I will definitely be purchasing L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum as the bottle i used i received as a trial from beauty crew. Do yourself a favour and get yourself a bottle or two of this amazing serum, you will not regret it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the L’Oréal Revitalift laser retinol night serum for 3 weeks now. I followed the directions on the box as I’m still quite new to retinol and found it to be quite potent. Weeks 1 & 2 were okay as you only use it twice a week in week 1 and every second night in week 2. I did however experience a bit of tingling after every application but it subsided within a couple of minutes. Week 3 I found it to be quite irritating to my skin as you apply it every night. My skin become quite red and burnt a little after the application so I decided to drop back down to every second night for my skin to continue adjusting. I liked the formula as it was a nice milky consistency and sunk in quickly. I found my skin felt hydrated the next day with the added ingredients of glycerin and hyaluronic acid. I did notice my skin looked a lot brighter and plump after the 3 weeks but no noticeable difference to my fine lines or pigmentation as of yet. Overall I would recommend this product however make sure you follow the directions for your skin to adjust.

The formula is a white, creamy type, easily absorbed and spreads well so that you really do not have to use alot to cover your face and neck. It has a lovely fragrance yet is not overpowering. My skin did indeed feel moisturised and hydrated after use, and after about a month of using, the fine lines didn't appear to be so prominent. I would definitely love to continue using this over a longer timespan, to see the longer-term effects on my skin and I would definitely be happy to recommend this for those wishing to reduce the appearance of fine lines on their skin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deep and Light Wrinkles- Go To [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just turned 30 and was looking into botox to rid and prevent some deep brow lines and as a preventative for any further lines. The consult was invasive and I didnt feel comfortable proceeding (Plus Botox is expensive), after using a retinol I will never go back. Make sure to follow up the instructions and use with a highly hydrating moisturizer with a mild cleanser. I would rate as a 4.5 star rating and the pure .5 star is only for the bottle design as I like to leave on the vanity I wanted it to look fancier, the dropper tool is fantastic for application though. Using on a regular bases has helped reduce the small and deep lines whilst leaving my skin feel tighter. Must be used with other products, not as a singular product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I really liked using L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum. I was pleasantly surprised with the results and would definitely recommend this for both new and OG users of retinol. The serum, which is milky in appearance, went on very easily and absorbed straight away into my skin. I have oily skin however my skin felt hydrated and did not result in excess oil. I followed the 3 week transition useage directions which were clearly detailed on the box (but not on the bottle) and I never had any negative experiences. No stinging or irritation at all. The next morning after application my skin felt silky soft, plump and hydrated and visible lines around my eyes definitely smoothed out and softened in appearance. The bottle is very classy and has a high quality dropper. The price point is what you would expect for a quality pure retinol that works so well. I'm totally in love with the signature L’Oréal fresh and floral fragrance of this serum too - love love love it, although I understand that the fragrance might not suit more sensitive skin types. I do have other retinol brands I like but L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum fit easily into my night skin care routine so I would definitely consider repurchasing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My primary skin concerns are dull complexion and texture, so I was looking forward to testing this Retinol Serum. I followed the directions to gradually introduce this product into my routine over three weeks and was not disappointed. I immediately (the next day) felt a smoother texture on my skin and noticed my makeup looking less ‘clunky’ on my skin. After using the Retinol Serum for three + weeks, I have started to notice slight improvements to the visibility of my pores, particularly on the top of my cheeks. I will definitely continue to use this product and I’m interested to see the results after a longer period of use. The Serum is scented, but not too overwhelming and easy to apply. A little goes a long way, so I was able to extend the application of the serum down to my neck. I typically used 2 full drops of the syringe for each application.

It feels very luxurious, not greasy at all I would say serum has a light, milky, opaque texture. I actually feel like I'm treating my skin smaller I have noticed smaller pores and more even skin texture. I have been using this L'Oreal Revitalift night serum for about 3 weeks every second night and find it to be a good moisturiser. It hydrates well without any irritation and the added retinol helps with fine lines. The creme absorbs easily and leaves skin feeling soft. The serum comes in a glass bottle, with a dropper and it's easy to use and you can easily judge how much to use. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with in the morning after to protect from sun damage.

The packaging made a good first impression. It is nicely designed sleek, glass with some weight to it. The lid of the product incorporates a glass dropper which felt secure and worked well at capturing product. The serum itself was quite fragranced, which I found quite pleasant. I do not have sensitive skin so i do not know if this fragrance would cause irritation to some. It was slightly milky in colour with a very smooth texture. It applied nicely to the skin, soaking in quickly and not leaving any sticky or greasy residue. I have used retinol serums quite regularly for a number of years. I have fine lines particularly around my mouth and eyes, uneven texture and some acne scarring and new breakouts. Although have been recently having a break so when i starting using it I was able to see results reasonably quickly. Within a week i noticed small changes in the texture of my skin which resulted in an overall healthier look. This improved over the three weeks that i have been using the product. The overall texture of my skin is looking smoother, my breakouts and discolouration have improved. This product compared well to higher end brands. This is a great serum for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavily fragranced retinol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With retinol being the holy grail of skincare, I was intrigued and excited to try L’Oréal’s Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Serum. Retinol on first contact can inflame the skin with redness, dry spots and irritation but with this product, I didn’t have any noticeable reaction other than initial tingles but that subsided after a few minutes. The instructions say to use 3-4 drops but I found 1 drop was enough for generous coverage. There is a very strong scent that reminds me of men’s cologne that I didn’t enjoy, especially at night. After the first week of trialling, I noticed my skin was smoother, supple and hydrated. The serum has a creamy texture and colour and absorbs easily into the skin without leaving any kind of residue.  I am looking forward to seeing how my skin progresses as I continue to use this serum and I am hoping for more positive results overall. Always use SPF in the mornings after using retinol as it does make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Apart from the very strong fragrance, I have liked using this retinol and I think it would be a good introductory product to test out retinol and add it to your skincare routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is so good,my skin is glowing and looking so much better,even my work mates say so.My face did go a little red when i first started using it but soon settled down.Easy to use so no wastage and it absorbs really well.You can really notice a difference when you look in the mirror each morning.My skin does look smoother and not as dull and the fine lines are less obvious.I also found this product moisturizing and doesnt feel greasy like other products i have used in the past. So glad i was choosen to try this product because it does work,happy with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little sceptical trying it to begin with, I had not had much luck with serums previously but this product completely blew me away! My skin texture evened out, my spots became less noticeable and so soft to the touch. This product has fit into my routine seamlessly and I enjoy using it so much. I find the recommended amount a little too much so only use 2 drops of serum which is plenty for me. The serum is light and absorbs into the skin quickly, it is light and disappears quickly, I don't find it irritating and my skin has not reacted poorly. I am happy to recommend this product to my friends looking for a similar serum no problem!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Proper pure retinol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum. Thank you BEAUTYcrew for providing the product for me to try. This is still an objective review. I’m not new to retinol, so I was happy to use accordingly. New users need to be more conservative and work up the usage. I loved that the bottle was very clear that you must use sunscreen with retinols the next day. Super important. The texture is creamy and fe,t moisturising when applying. I found the texture and application nice. The eye dropper would t always suck up enough product though. In terms of my skin, the product was lovely and I felt it delivered as expected. I would buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Night serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The L’Oréal Paris New Revitalift Laser Pure Retinol Deep Wrinkle Night Serum is a serum to be used nightly to correct the signs of ageing, as per the box it comes in. I used 2-3 drops of the serum nightly on my neck and décolletage and gently massaged it in. My hands (palms) were actually peeling the first few days and I couldn’t figure out why and I realised it was because of this serum as I wasn’t using any other new product. The peeling stopped after about 5-7 days. I didn’t have any adverse reaction to the serum on my face. It doesn’t exactly come out in a drop, it’s more like a big blob drop so 1 big blob is enough for the décolletage. I gently pat the serum onto my face. My skin felt soft and nice to touch. I didn’t notice any disappearance of wrinkles, but my skin looked good. It looked nice and supple. I think over use, it can make the skin look smoother and healthier. It’s a good serum to try and see what happens. Due to the retinol, you have to be careful when you go out in the sun, ensuring you use sunscreen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a different brand of retinol on my skin for a few months now so this product did not irritate my skin when using it at the same frequency (every second night). Overall, I did see results, as my skin started to look brighter and smoother after a few applications. Where I saw the most difference however, was that I noticed when I wasn't using it. My skin appearance and texture decreased in quality when I stopped using it. The applicator is not bad, although it doesn't pick up a lot of product straight away. This was not a huge problem however. It has a lovely smell which is not overpowering and it also has a nice texture, making it easy to apply.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Take it slowly as directed..... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Loreal Pure retinol for the past 3 weeks. The colour and texture is a milky white. Its absorbs easily into the skin. There is a strong fragrance when you first apply, however the scent does not last long. The first week - I really didn't like it as I had broken out so quickly, and I have been a retinol user for the last 8 years. These little spots however didnt stick around for long. (thank goodness). Week 3 and I am using this product 4 times a week with no issues at all. My skin glows as soon as I apply it and I wake up with soft to touch skin. Will definitely recommend. Just need to proceed with caution

Rated 4 out of 5 by from L'oreal Revitalift Laser x3 Pure Retinol Serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Retinol is an ingredient that I like to incorporate in my skincare routine, so I was thrilled to be invited to trial the L'oreal Revitalift Laser x3 Pure Retinol Serum. The serum comes in a lovely dark blue squared bottle with a dropper dispenser. The milky consistency and colour is nothing I've ever experienced before when it comes to using retinol products. I found the scent to be quite strong, not unpleasant, but worth noting for those sensitive to fragrance. With a concentration of 0.2% of pure retinol, instructions state to begin using slowly, applying twice the first week to every other night, then use nightly the third week. It is also important to remember to use a sunscreen during the day. I find 4 drops enough for face and neck. The serum absorbs quickly into my skin leaving no residue. I usually apply a moisturiser after a serum, but I haven't found that necessary, thanks to the hyaluronic acid and glycerin in the formula my skin feels adequately hydrated. I am in my mid-40s and have combination skin that leans dehydrated. After almost a month I have not experienced any adverse reactions. My skin feels so smooth with less texture. I have also noticed it to feel firmer. I am more than happy to continue use and look forward to even more benefits that happen over time such as lightening of pigmentation. I'm so happy to have had the opportutunity to try the L'oreal Revitalift Pure Retinol Night Serum, it exceeded my expectations. Only complaint being the strong fragrance which I am getting used to. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an anti-aging serum with a high concentration of retinol for an over-the-counter product.

Already being a retinol user I didn't expect to find earth-shattering results from the Revitalift Laser Pure Retinol Deep Wrinkle Night Serum - how wrong I was! Admittedly the product that I was previously using was not "pure retinol" but I was ill prepared to find out how little it had been doing in comparison to this product. This serum comes in a reasonable 30ml size and has a white, milky consistency. 3 drops on my cleansed face at night was enough (with the occasional 4 to extend down my neck). Looking at the potency of the retinol I would definitely recommend following the instructions carefully if you are new to this ingredient. I used the product 4 times per week as I have a different routine that I follow on the other days. As a previous user of retinol I did not experience any tingling, redness or dryness when using it or the following morning. The results were actually quite immediate - I woke up with beautifully smooth skin and have found that some of my fine lines and wrinkles look much less obvious after only using this product for just over 3 weeks. I'm really looking forward to experiencing the enhanced results promised from ongoing regular use. Do yourself a favour and check out Revitalift Laser Pure Retinol Deep Wrinkle Night Serum for yourself. I am confident you will not be disappointed!

I have quite sensitive skin and cannot tolerate anything heavy on my face including sunscreen. I was concerned that this would feel too heavy. I was pleasantly surprised therefore to see that it was not an oil but a light cream gel texture. It had a pleasant woodsy scent. 3-4 drops were more than enough to cover my whole face so this bottle will last a long time. The product was light, spread easily and quickly absorbed. There was no tacky or sticky after feel. My skin looked radiant and plumped up after first applying it and it still looked good the morning after. My main problem with it was the requirement to wear sunscreen the day after using it. The instructions say that sunscreen of at least SPF15+ should be used the morning after application. As I never wear sunscreen, I couldn’t commit to using this product on a daily basis. From what I could tell with using it twice a week though, my skin looked clearer, smoother and more radiant. Highly recommended!

This serum contains pure retinol and it is designed to help combat the signs of ageing, including wrinkles and lines. As with any retinol products, especially if you are new to using retinol in your skincare, a slow introduction is very important as it is a very potent ingredient and skin needs time to adjust to it. I have used retinol in the past and it is part of my weekly skincare routine at present. I tend to use this serum on an alternate night, which allows my skin time to recover. The serum is milky white in colour and tends toward a running consistency. It is quickly absorbed into my skin and I always follow it up with a good moisturiser as retinol can be very drying on the skin. I have found that my skin looks smoother and brighter after using this serum. I think more long-term use will display further benefits and may have a greater impact on fine lines. The serum comes in a simple blue bottle with a pipette stopper. The bottle is non-transparent, which makes is difficult to gauge how much product is left.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lovely gentle retinol serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to be part of the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum trial. I incorporated this serum in my skin routine as per directions. I love retinol and use them consistently. I was excited to trial this one as I love L'Oreal skincare products and this serum did not disappoint. The serum comes in an opaque glass bottle bottle and has a glass dropper. I love the scent, L'Oreal's signature scent, light and fresh. It has a milky appearance, but a lightweight gel like serum consistency. I applied this serum each night on my face. The serum absorbs nicely and instantly into the skin, leaving it feel cool and fresh. I then follow it with my regular skincare routine. I have been using this for the past 3 weeks and have already seen a difference in the texture and clarity of my skin. I find this retinol to be quite gentle on the skin and super easy to incorporate into skincare routine without any problems or skin irritations. I really enjoyed this product and would love to see an intense retinol serum with higher % of retinol as an option to purchase and to step up from this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective retinol as good as higher end serums [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not new to retinol, I am aged 34 and have been using retinol serums regularly for around 2-3 years now, so I was interested to try the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Pure Retinol Night Serum and see how it stacked up with others I have used in the past. I applied the serum at night 3 x per week to dry skin about 15 minutes after cleansing. The serum has a light and milky consistency, and spread nicely into my face and was absorbed quickly. The product did have a light fragrance, I do prefer to use fragrance-free products however the fragrance was not offensive in any way. The next day my skin would feel nice and I had zero irritation. For those who have never used retinol before I definitely recommend going slow - start off once a week, build up to twice, then three times unless you want to end up with dry, flakey skin. I am very happy with the results using this product. I could tell no difference between this and more expensive retinol serums, though I would like to see how it goes long term, as retinol is definitely a long-game with results really showing after around 6 months. I will consider continuing to use this product once the bottle finishes to see how it goes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful Retinol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottle and packaging are quite luxurious looking, which is on par with the expectations at that price point. As I have quite sensitive skin and have been prone to dry irritated skin with retinol products in the past I started the first week with a light amount of product twice only. I was surprised at how quickly it was absorbed and the light feel it left on my skin. As I didn’t discover any irritation on my skin, I persevered with the instructions for the following weeks and I was glad I did. I feel my skin is plumper and smoother especially around the eye area. I will definitely add this product to my routine!
