Directions

First impression when I apply on my face is the fragrant smell followed by the lightweight and smooth texture. It doesn't irritate my skin or feel too congested when I apply moisturiser and sunscreen on top of the serum. It's only been Day 2 using this product so it's too early to see any results. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for Niacinamide Vitamin C products.

Just to start off the bottle is soo cool and super easy to carry around in your travel case. It smells divine. I generally use this during the morning after cleansing my face apply this and my moisturiser on top. It simple gives me a good glow and a no makeup look in an instant. The serum is not very thick and very easy to apply. Has made my skin look more hydrated and clear. It's a must have if you are like me not to try serums but not too sure which ones to start off with.

My partner comments every time on how lovely it smells. Unfortunately I haven't noticed any improvement in my dark spots yet, but its only been 10 days! I do think my skin is brighter, and its definitely helped speed up the recovery of my mask pimples. The bottle is also great to use, and comes in a large size.

I like the consistency and smooth texture the serum leaves my skin feeling. There has not been much difference to my skin in the 7 days, however I do enjoy the dewy glowy finish as a primer under my SPF.

It is a very light, non-oily serum and can be applied under makeup. I did noticed a slight brightening effect after 10 days of usage. Might buy again when this is available for half price. The full price product is bit expensive in my opinion.

I have used many vitamin c serums over the years both high end and budget. This one works well on my skin. It is a light formula and sits well under my moisturiser, suncream and foundation. I like the added niacinamide. This product is scented and I would prefer unscented. I would also like to know the percentage of vitamin c concentration on the label. Given it is not mentioned, I assume it is less than 10%. Hence the four star rating and not a five.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saviour serum! I’ve used this product for a couple of weeks now and I can honestly say it’s fantastic! The bottle feels very high end and is very sleek. At first I couldn’t work out how to open/use it but it is very clever and different design. The product itself was great, I found my skin a lot brighter and smoother quite quickly. The serum absorbed into my skin quickly and wasn’t too thick or heavy. It worked well with the other products I used. The scent was a bit strong but it is not a bad scent. Overall my skin feels very hydrated and plump and I can definitely see a difference. My skin just looks a lot more even and pigmentation was reduced. I generally have oily skin and I have problems with trying to get the balance right with products and this one seemed to slot nicely into my routine. I’d definitely purchase again!

I have enjoyed using it as it soaks in quickly and doesn’t seem to leave any residue. The bottle was a bit confusing to use the first time around but once figured out was all good. I have been using it as recommended, twice a day and my skin appears to look a bit brighter but it hasn’t done anything for my acne at this point. I would buy it to see if after some more time it helps with my acne or scarring as I do enjoy using it. I would also recommend to friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pearly brightening serum I've been trialling this serum as part of the trial team - thanks BH! I have skin that tends to dry and dehydrated and have been using a few different products to counteract that. The dispenser for this product is quite ingenious, I hadn't used one quite like it before! The serum is in a sleek bottle and in order to fill up the dropper dispenser, you twist the silver lid before unscrewing. The correct amount can then be droppered onto your palm to be applied. I found 2 drops perfect for getting a good coverage of my face. The serum itself is very pretty and pearlescent in colour. It spreads across your skin with ease and sinks in quickly. I didn't have to wait long to apply other products and it doesn't ball up like some other serums do when you apply make up over the top. It does have a noticeable scent - kind of like a fruity hair care product? Which I actually liked but something to note if you are sensitive as you do notice it especially when applying near your nose! After using this morning and night for the past few weeks I have felt my skin to be brighter and moisturised as well! I can't wait to see the results of using it for longer - I find you can really tell the difference after a month or so. Will definitely keep using this and would recommend- I've been wanting to try a vitamin C serum for a long time and glad I finally did!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and effective First the cleanser and now this serum - new Olay products are finally changing my opinion of the brand. For reference my skin is combination oily. Likes nicknamed but vitamin c is hit and miss but being of warmer tone, it does need the goodness of antioxidant properties. That’s why I was really intrigued by this serum and wanted to find out how the combination works. Packaging is too glossy but the pump design is beautiful and clever - dispensing just the right amount of product. The serum itself is milky, creamy liquid that smells like dewy rose perfume. For fragrance sensitive people it is tad too strong. In fact I would have also preferred it to be fragrance free or at least milder but for now I’m okay with it since it’s not white floral scent which usually triggers my migraines. Apart from string scent, it’s perfect. Very lightweight and hydrating serum that absorbs easily without leaving any sticky or oily residue. Wether you like to keep it minimal and apply only a good moisturiser and/or sunscreen or want to go full 10 steps and have multiple layers, this serum would work for both kind of routines. It’s not too strong so the result wasn’t immediate but in couple of weeks (using morning and evening) I started to see very noticeable difference in terms of spots fading away and over all tone becoming more even. I appreciate this gradual process more that over might dramatic results which has caused me compromised skin barrier in past.

It comes in a nice glass bottle with a silver dispenser lid which makes it look super expensive and sleek. The size of the bottle makes it easy to fit into the cupboard but also travel with. The formula is a pearl consistency which feels luxurious. I have been using the serum both morning and evening after cleansing and before moisturising. I use between 2 - 3 drops to cover my face and neck. It's a beautiful, smooth formula which blends easily and nicely into my skin. What I loved the most about this formula is that it leaves a matte finish on my skin, and leaves no sticky residue which often leaves my skin looking and feeling oily. The scent of this serum is fresh! It's a nice touch and leaves a clean feeling on your skin. After weeks of trialling this serum, I can honestly say my skin feels hydrated and soft. My complexion overall is brighter and clearer. My skin has been suffering from looking quite dull and matte, and this serum has helped with giving my skin back the hydration and TLC it needed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brightening and moisturising I was fortunate enough to be included in this beautyheaven trial and good timing too because I was looking to include a vitamin C serum into my morning routine. This Olay serum incorporates vitamin C and niacinamide and comes in a dropper bottle that fills automatically when the bottle closes. The serum is a white/ slightly yellow colour that spreads well and absorbs easily. Though the instruction states to use 2 full droppers of the serum and found that was too much and used only one which was enough to cover my face and neck. It plays well with other serums and sits nicely under my sunscreen and gives a lovely glowy look immediately after application. Over the last few weeks I think it's helped with the texture of my skin and evening out skin tone. I'm glad to have found a vitamin c serum that slots easily into my routine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gentle luxury that packs a punch Thanks, BH, for including me in the trial of Olay's Luminous Niacinamide and Vitamin C Super Serum! I've tried multiple Vitamin C serums in my long journey of taking care of my skin, but this one quickly rose to the top of the pile, and I'll explain why as I move on. The Super Serum is packaged in a rather large pearlescent glass container, with a massive silver lid. The idea is to twist and pump the insert at the top, then unscrew and withdraw a large dropper from the main glass cylinder, and dispense the perfect dosage in to your palm for application. I actually found the concept convoluted, and a little cumbersome to deal with, hence I took off a star in my rating. I'm not fond at all of dropper based anything with packaging for skin care, but it really is my only criticism. The product itself is divine. Serum wise, the product is very silky with a milk like texture, and smells pleasantly citrusy, with no chemical unpleasantness in the undertone. Application is simple, and only a small amount of serum is required to smooth over the face, neck and chest. It is non greasy, absorbs easily, and leaves the skin plump, hydrated and smooth, ready for your next skin care step. As instructed, I used morning and evening, and avoided the eye area. I had no feeling of tightness or irritation, which is always a bonus, and over time, I noticed some very encouraging benefits. Some of the big claims with this serum, were for a boost in brightness and skin luminosity, and yes, I really have noticed a huge improvement in these areas! The most obvious improvement I've seen in my skin, though, is a massive reduction in a rather large sun spot on the side of my face. I've had it for years, and nothing has ever budged the pigmentation before, but it's actually faded significantly since I've started using this serum! I certainly wasn't expecting that effect, but am really pleased with the outcome! I would definitely recommend this serum to anyone who needs to tackle pigmentation of any sort, and a boost to dry, dull skin. It really delivers the goods.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to start by saying that usually I hated serum because my face never absorbed it properly so I was left with greasy skin and no clear results. After reviewing some comments on the product, I decided to give serum one last opportunity and I can't be happier. I have been taking the pill for a long time and that affected my face a lot... One of the most annoying thing was seeing dark patches on certain areas as well as extremely dry skin. With this product, in just 2 weeks I have felt my skin revitalizing, it feels softer, I have seen a bit of progress on the dark areas getting lighter, not much but it is definitely helping and I can use it during the day without the greasy feeling and at night without worrying about having to wash my pillow case the next day cause I spread it all over it (lol!) Definitely recommend it!

I have combo skin and it feels light and fresh on my face and makes my skin look hydrated and luminous. The serum absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy and looks great under make up. The formula is very thin and a little goes a long way which I appreciate with skincare. The Vitamin C is gentle enough to use every day and doesn’t dry my skin out (like other serums can). I also love the addition of the niacinamide to help with texture, appearance of pores, and to help balance oil production. The glass bottle has a nice weight to it and feels very luxe. The design of the applicator/dropper is very convenient to use and would be perfect for travelling. I do try to avoid products containing sulphates, parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and mineral oils as my skin can be a little temperamental so I love that this serum has been formulated without these ingredients. The reason why I have given this serum 4 stars and not 5 is because of the fragrance. I find the scent of this serum a little too strong for my liking and would prefer a fragrance-free formula. Since I’ve been using the serum, I have noticed a slight reduction in the appearance of dark spots on my face. My skin looks more radiant and the texture looks smoother thanks to the addition of niacinamide. I’ve enjoyed this serum and will continue to use the product in my skincare regime. I would absolutely recommend this product to friends and family.

Having never really used Olay products on a regular basis I wasn’t sure what to expect. Also the product is fragranced -which concerned me slightly as I seem to have a correlation between fragrance and irritation with face products. however this was not the case with this impressive super serum! The serum is lightweight with a smooth like texture and glides onto the skin with ease. The formulation was perfect, it was able to absorb quickly onto my skin without feeling like it was too lightweight and I needed more / but also wasn’t too greasy that I couldn’t add any products on top. I literally had moisturiser, sun cream and a light eye cream on top without any issue. My skin has overall felt more plump, hydrated, bright and generally healthier since using this product. Everything you would expect from a vitamin C serum! Would definitely recommend this product and can easily be added into a well established routine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely My skin is very dry and fair. At first I was put off by the bottle dispenser I’m not really a fan of dropper style for my serum but that really just a preference. I prefer the quick and easy application of a pump. I would prefer to be Apple to see how much serum was left in the bottle. The serum it self is light and absorbs really well into my skin with minimal effort to rub in. This serum didn’t dry my skin out which is important to me. When I first applied there was a little bit of a sting that subsided quick so that’s not a deal breaker for me. I don’t feel this trial was long enough for me to notice a difference in my skin just yet. It works well under my other skin care products. I will continue to use this bottle and if I notice any changes in my skin I would buy again.

Very luxe and expensive looking little bottle. Very nice. The product smelt lovely, was extremely light and definitely not greasy at all. After a few weeks of using this product it did brighten my face and dark spots very slightly, but wasn't a dramatic change. This product didn't irritate my skin and was very hydrating. I would have loved for this product to be a little thicker though, I love a thick serum, but other than that, it was a lovely product.

I have been using this product in the morning after washing my face with a salicylic acid based cleanser and before a moisturizer, followed by sunscreen. I was excited to use this serum because the dropper/dispenser was so innovative. When you unscrew the lid, some mechanism inside it sucks up the right amount of serum required for my face. So clever. Anyway, you wouldn’t get the serum just for the dispenser. I am not a fan of scented products, as it could cause my skin to react and then I have to start ruling out what products I have been using that has caused this. And the 1st product I start eliminating is usually the 1 which contains fragrance. My thought is that if an ingredient it is not required and may cause issues, then why include it. I would have been more likely to purchase this product if it was fragrance free. The product itself left my skin feeling well hydrated & left a healthy glow. As to brightening or lightening hyperpigmentation, as the key ingredients is known for, I haven’t used this product long enough to see that. I will continue to use this product, and hopefully by the end of it, there will be some visible results.

I was so excited to be chosen to trial this as part of trial team as I've been using a few different serums lately and was keen to try one of the new ones from Olay's range. So thanks as always to Beauty Heaven for the opportunity to try this new product out. Firstly the packaging is great, very sleek and modern. I loved the fact the dropper pops up with the exact amount needed. I did find that when you had to use the dropper for the second time it didn't refill correctly and had to do this a few times, not sure if this is the norm or just a faulty bottle. I loved the fact that the serum didn't have an overpowering smell as you sometimes get that with products that contain Vitamin C. It's a white colour and texture is lovely, just melts into the skin. I've been using this for nearly 2 weeks now both in the morning and night before moisturizing. I have found that in this short time the overall texture of my skin has improved, it's more even and bright. I would definitely buy and use this again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super serum Love this new addition to the serum category. The bottle is sleek and looks beautiful. Love the lid and how it works. Tricky at first but easy once you read the instructions to twist, with the lid popping upward. The serum is fragranced so beware if you aren’t a huge fan of this. It glides on like silk and hydrates and smooths. Easily absorbed, fast drying and non-greasy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great serum for pores, hydration [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This serum really intrigued me, as I'm a regular niacinamide user (another brand) and was looking to add a product with Vitamin C into my regime. I'm focused on removing scarring and improving texture of my skin - so I was super excited to try this. I've found niacinamide has made a huge difference to my skin. I really liked the bottle design, fragrance and texture. I used the serum in both mornings, to act as a hydrator prior to foundation, and evenings. It didn't interfere with other products and soaked in really quickly. It gave my makeup a bit of a sheen without looking greasy at all. Definitely less redness, I haven't noticed a dramatic difference - likely as I'm already using niacinamide, but with Olay's reputation and knowing the ingredients, I'm going to keep using and am hopeful of more results in weeks to come! Will very likely swap from my current product to this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Serum but the ProX by Olay is Better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I noticed about the Olay Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum was the pleasant scent. I was unsure how to open the dropper at first but after a quick google I could see that you just had to keep twisting to open the lid. I liked the overall product and feel like it helped to brighten my skin. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the feeling of my skin after applying the serum as it felt a bit sticky and tacky compared to the ProX by Olay Brightening Spot Essence Serum that I have recently used. The ProX by Olay Brightening Spot Essence Serum actually absorbed into my skin really nicely where as the Olay Niacinamide + Vitamin C Super Serum felt like it left a residue behind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this really easy to apply, soaked in well and felt really hydrated as it was soaking in.I felt fresh and like it was activating.I felt like I had a brighter facial appearance and skin was smooth and fresh and will fade my acne scarring to.Non greasy, no reisdue,Good size bottle,and good ingredients to help keep skin soft and supple,, and felt really hydrated during the day under make up, make up applied good over the top too.I would recommend and I will personally continue to use this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Secret skincare serum! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vitamin c super serum was so effective for my dull and boring skin. I only had to use a small amount and it made such a difference after just one use. I haven’t used many Olay products but this serum was amazing and my skin looked so much brighter so quickly. The scent was so gentle and pleasing to use. Also, the serum was really light weight and not greasy at all. I used my moisturiser afterwards and my skin was left feeling so refreshing. I will definitely be buying this serum again and recommending it to a friend, such a nice and hydrating feeling after a simple serum.
