Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice addition to hair care [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this product. You have to give it a nice shake then spray for application. The product suggest it's an oil but unlike other hair oil I've used in the past it's not oily, perhaps due to the spraying component. It is very fast absorbing, comes out of the bottle in a light mist. I've given this 3 star as I am still unsure if I will repurchase as it might be a luxury item for me. It has however, really helped with heat styling. It makes my hair feel less brittle and given it a very nice shine. If you like an extra boost and shine to your hair then this comes highly recommended.

I wouldn’t say it was a miracle worker but seemed nice as something to put on after or to freshen up. The spray was good to use - sprayed a lot with a satisfying pump sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised but not amazed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thin hair that which is easily weighed down by products like argan oil, so I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and light this product was. Initially, I was a little bit sceptical of the Herbal Essence Potent Aloe & Eucalyptus Hair Oil due to its separated appearance and would prefer not to shake the bottle as much each time before use. However, upon application, it sprays nicely, and the fine mist does not over-coat specific sections of hair while providing you with a smell that is refreshing and citrusy. I also enjoy knowing that the product I have used is PETA cruelty-free and made with sustainably sources potent aloe and real botanicals. However, while the bottle is 100% recyclable, the pump is not yet, but, it's a step in the right direction. I look forward to seeing Herbal Essence rethink the plastic packaging and move towards a circular economy where the whole product can be reused, recycled or composted. In terms of the product itself, the Herbal Essence Potent Aloe & Eucalyptus Hair Oil has made my hair softer after use. Although, I haven't found it to noticeably "smooth hair to protect it from breakage, help repair surface styling damage and makes it shine" like it claims to do. Overall, it is lightweight, smells great, but I haven't seen the benefits that it claims to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with the shampoo and conditioner in this range, I was not overly impressed with the performance of this product. I generally love hair oils, but after using this hair oil I didn't notice any significant improvement with my hair. I wasn't impressed with the ingredient list either, and I think that there are many other affordable hair oils available which provide better results that this one from herbal essences.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not high on my list [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was really interesting to me because it says that it is a hair oil, but I felt like it was more of a water-like consistency instead of an oil. It wasn’t anything like previous hair oils I have used so I was a bit disappointed with this. The smell of the product was really lovely, however I didn’t see any difference to the texture of my hair after use. I used it both on damp hair and dry hair. This product wouldn’t be high on my list to purchase again.

I expected a lot more from this – my hair isn’t overly prone to tangling in the first place as long as I use a half decent conditioner, but this, while making my hair feel smooth on the first pass, made my hair feel tacky within minutes, and after laying against a cushion for a couple of minutes, the surface of my hair where I’d sprayed had become a lightly matted mess. Highly unimpressed, but admittedly from the get-go I had my concerns – isopropyl alcohol is listed as one of the highest concentrated ingredients, with the aloe and argan oil only being listed in the second half of the list, so it seems the concentration of the coveted ingredient and what I’d normally buy something like this for isn’t particularly high. Would probably just stick to buying pure argan oil and brushing a couple of drops through my hair or mixing my own concoction, sorry! Reviewed as part of ReviewCrew. (Thanks BeautyCrew!)

I didn’t notice any real change in the condition of my hair, trialled on damp and dry hair. It left my hair feeling tacky and not ‘soft’, also feeling like I needed to wash my hair after a day or so, even when using the smallest amount. I probably wouldn’t repurchase, will only use when I have nothing else to reach for.

It smells nice and I did like the spray application but that is the extent of its qualities. It did not add any extra moisture, smoothness or shine to my hair. Wanted to love on account of it being marketed as natural and ‘better’ for you and our earth but sadly could not.

I liked the idea that they have partnered with The Royal Botanical Gardens and created this with plants. But when reading the ingredients, there was a lot to be desired. I was expecting this to be more oil like, rather than runny like water. I didn't like that when you shook the bottle the ingredients didn't blend well. I didn't like that it left my hair feeling flat and weighted down and really dull. I'm just not a fan of this at all.
