Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice This is a lovely moisturiser but I'm not a fan of too much fragrance on my skin so I went back to my regular product after trying this for a few days. Aside from the scent it's a great everyday mosituriser, it didn't break me out, did a good job and keeping my skin soft and smooth. I like the packaging, nice to look at and all the information is right at the front. The consistency is light enough to use twice a day if preferred, and it will probably layer well under foundation or sunscreen. I also love the fact that it has no sulphates, parabens, silicones and most importantly (for me) is that it's not tested on animals. Products like this are hard to find at decent prices so if you're looking for something affordable then give this a try. Just be careful that if you're sensitive to essential oils this might not be for you as it has quite a few in the ingredient list.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very affordable moisturiser I was on my last tub of moisturiser when asked to trial Glow Lab facial moisturiser so it came at a very opportune time. This moisturiser which is made in New Zealand arrived in a generous 100ml cream plastic squeeze tube with a click lid. The cream itself is light and very easy to dispense and at the price of $16 at most supermarkets is quite a steal. If there is a fragrance I was unable to discern it but it certainly consists of some beautifully natural ingredients such as Macadamia, Rosehip Seed Oil and Shea Butter along with Vitamin E. All of which assist in strengthening the skin against free radicals but most importantly fight the signs of premature aging and don’t we girls need that! I have trialled this moisturiser for several days now and have to admit that a very little goes a long way. Whilst I feel there are no nasties going into my skin I do not consider that it absorbs readily so find I have to wait a few minutes for it to sink in before I can apply foundation. For some reason it also leaves a glow/sheen on my face so if I use it without foundation I find it necessary to tone it down with face powder to get that matte look that I am after. All in all a nice little everyday cream for the price but not one that I would probably go out and buy for myself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice and light For a facial moisturiser sporting shea butter and oils on it’s ingredients list, this moisturiser is surprisingly light and delicate. The moisturiser is on a thin consistency, and rubs in lightly and quickly. It leaves a hydrating sheen on the skin, likely in part to the oils in it. This leaves the skin dewy for sometime, and because of that I would recommend this as a spring/summer moisturiser. It is definitely more suited to being a day cream, as it wouldn’t be deeply moisturising for night or winter. It would be good for normal to oily skin, and as a dry skinned person I do find that I have to layer serums prior to keep my skin moisturised all day. The moisturiser is lightly and in-offensively scented, it smells like your classic glycerin/sorbelene body moisturiser. A downside is that due to it’s thin texture, I’m going through the tube really quickly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lightweight but not moisturising moisturiser My skin has been so sensitive and inflamed recently and I just started using this moisturiser. Thankfully it doesn't burn or sting my skin like other products, however I don't find it very moisturising. It does set in quite quickly and has a nice scent but I would not recommend this for people with dry skin. Perhaps oily skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Glow for the Young I received this tube of Glow Lab moisturiser at the recent Best in Beauty Awards, I’ve trialled quite a few moisturiser for BH these days so I think I know what is right for a person in their sixties. I feel this light weight cream that has a mild botanical smell is more suited for the younger generation who don’t need such a hydrating and boost to their skin as someone older. The white cream is light weight and I found it didn’t absorb immediately but needed to be rubbed in for a while, not thick enough or absorbent for my ageing skin. It didn’t give me that all day coverage that someone my age needs. I did read that if you want an extra boost for hydration to use their serum, maybe that’s what us oldies need to do with this particular product. I think it’s more suited to someone younger and reading the other reviews it has glowing reports from the young user. On the positive side it’s priced reasonably at $16 and a little goes a long way, made from lots of good ingredients in NZ. Easy to have in your bag, I might use it as a hand cream., but definitely not for us oldies but for the young.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from BIB 2019 Event Another basic moisturizer. This one packs a punch of natural based ingredients. Water, then shea and macadamia fats. It is light emulsion, lotion like and absorbs quickly. I am not moisturizer user as I find they do nothing to correct issue I got with my skin. Same with this one. It is good for what is designed to do: moisturize as a last step in skincare routine. I would say, good for normal skin without any issues to correct. I used it over night as during the day I prefer only light serums on the skin with actives in them. Night, I load a serum or two and then this moisturizer. On its own, my skin just feels 'coated'. As with any moisturizer so far. I have oily to normal skin and huge pores. My skin likes light serums. Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil, Cococaprylate, Glyceryl Citrate/Lactate/Linoleate/Oleate, Glycerin, Lecithin (Soy), Carbomer (Thickener), Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic (Preservatives) Acid, Sodium Phytate (Chelating agent), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Modifier), Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend*), Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamaldehyde, Linalool. *Essential Oils include Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Oil, Narcissus Poeticus (Daffodil) Flower Extract, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Viola Odorata (Violet) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rich hydrating moisturiser I received a 100ml tube of the Glow Lab Facial Moisturiser at the recent Best in Beauty event and consider this moisturiser to be a bit too heavy for my liking. The cream is not very thick so when you squeeze the tube quite a bit of product does come out. There are many ingredients in the making of this moisturiser and it is claimed to be nature and science. Initially this moisturiser feels very sticky when I applied it to my face and neck and even lower to my decolletage area which also needs moisturising these days as I am well past 60. There is no irritation for me even though I do experience issues with some products as my skin tends to be sensitive. It takes quite a long time to actually absorb fully and I do not think that I would like to apply make up over this moisturiser either but would use it when my skin is feeling very dry or overnight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bargain priced moisturiser I have been using the Glow Lab Facial Moisturiser for almost two months and I have almost finished it. This 100ml attractive looking tube with a screw on flip top lid is made in New Zealand and is cruelty free. The nozzle opening is covered with a foil seal. The cream is a thick off-white colour and is easy to spread. I have been using it morning and night on my normal to oily skin. It feels nice and hydrating, and it still feels nice and hydrated the next morning. It does take a while to absorb though. It gets its fragrance from the essential oils but I’m not a fan of the scent. I have recently discovered that I am prone to pimples when using certain skincare products but the Glow Lab managed to keep the troublesome things at bay with a few exceptions. I have had clearer skin with other products though. The Glow Lab is amazingly affordable. I would still recommend this moisturiser but it’s probably not a product I’d purchase again. I have used other moisturisers that I like better even though they are more expensive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Definitely not for me If this had been marketed as a "light moisturizer", that would have been helpful - and I wouldn't have bought it because that's not what I'm looking for. The moisturizer is incredibly runny, almost liquid, and just does very little for my skin. I can see this being ideal for people without specific skin concerns that need addressing, who just want to moisturize for the sake of it. But for me - I've been using it for a month and it's done nothing for my skin. It absorbs fairly quickly because it's so light weight, but also leaves the skin feeling almost sticky, not soft. I'm all about using up products I buy, but I'm 'moving' this one to the body and not using it for my face again - it doesn't pay off the 'annoyance' of having to apply it so clumsily because it runs everywhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a favourite. I am reviewing this products as part of the 2021 best in beauty awards trial team. I have oily skin and generally use a mattifying moisturiser in the morning with an SPF and in the evening I like something thicker that can be removed in the morning. This product just isnt for me. it comes in a nice sturdy tube that has a flip opening. the tube has a nice soft squeeze so it would be really easy to get all the product out when you get to the end of the tube. the cream itself is a milky white cream that is very thin. it has a very strong scent that is very "natural" and unappealing to my nose. because this cream is so light weight, a little bit glides over this skin very easily. I dont feel like it is hydrating enough for me to use at night and during the day it leaves to much glow for me. I also recognised the tube when i received it and realised i had purchased this myself about 12 months ago and it ended up in the back of the cupboard so i got out the old bottle to see the difference, the older bottle has separated and needed a crazy good shake for the cream to come together again. the bottle says to use within 6 months of opening and that is probably best as my older bottle has defiantly gone off even though the used by date still had 16 months to go.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very watery and thin I am a major fan of thick moisturisers thanks to my dry skin. Glow Lab's facial moisturiser is pretty much the opposite. The good points: this product is all natural and presumably good for sensitive skin. It's also very affordable (100m at around $10 when on special at Woolies) and has a nice natural scent thanks to the inclusion of ylang ylang and jasmine essential oils. But the not-so good-points are: the light watery consistency (without being labelled as a lotion on the tube-though their website does advertise it as a light moisturiser') and general lack of hydration or staying power I felt after using it. I needed to put on more moisturiser over the top as I felt my skin drying out through the day (even after using serums onderneath). I really would only recommend this product for people looking for a lightweight natural moisturiser who don't have high maintenance skin needs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too light for dry skin I love the brand name, generous product size and price point. If you have normal or combo or oily skin this may work for you. I have dry skin and just found this wasn't hydrating enough at all. It didn't feel too bad when I first applied it but soon enough I felt my skin feeling a little tight. Even when I applied this on top of my usual essences and serums, it just wasn't hydrating enough for me, especially at night as I woke up to really uncomfortable feeling skin. So what I had to do to make it wearable was apply lots of serums, use this moisturiser then seal it in with lots of face oil. I mean I love using face oils and I do regularly anyway, but I really had to use a lot to help my skin feel comfortable. So unfortunately, this isn't right for me.
